DSR=detailed seller rating. 4.6 is considered bad by ebay and you start to appear lower in searches. So 3,9 is terrible peoples accounts have been suspended for far less

The feedback comments show his overcharging for P&P - that really annoys me....
I know that postage is shown on the auctions before you bid, blah blah blah - but when you see a higher postage, you expect more effort to be taken to post an item securely, dont you - it annoys me when it then turns up in a carrier bag turned inside out or similar and the seller says "You knew the postage costs before you bid, if you werent happy, you shouldn't have bid"....grrrrr!!!
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??

I always wondered why some sellers managed to get away with still selling with such appalling stars!

Most people take notice of stars, 3.9 is so bad I am surprised he hasn't been banned yet, I'm even more suprised that people still bother to buy.

I have seen 3 point something stars in all but one category before, we had someone post their selling id on here asking why no one ever bought anything from them and was surprised when people said that wouldn't touch them with a bargepole.

EDIT: Just looking at his auctions I was right, he isn't actually managing to sell anything anymore. Pages of stuff finishing today and not a single bid.

He probably deserves the title of most stupid seller so far this week, fee avoiding by putting all the cost on the postage, using a private account when he is a dealer, the daftest auction titles ever -take this one 'dolls''

Oh and it seemed almost kinder to report him for fee avoidance rather than let his suffer.how about this one 99p item £100 postage:

    I didnt realise that.
I have a fairly low feedback count of 59 and I have had one neg from a buyer who was just deranged:rolleyes: and threatening.
ALL my other feedbacks are really positive.

But my stars in order are 4.8, 4.6. 4.7,
    and 4.5 for postage.
I assume the idiot who neg,d me must have allso marked me low stars.

So now because of one person I am appearing lower in the listings, how am I supposed to sell more stuff and raise my stars percentage?
“Careful. We don't want to learn from this.”
  • Report all their items for high P&P. I mean £100 to post an ornament! You could drive from London and back again for less than £100 in fuel..!

A small seller can easily be suspended for just one or two stars left, so check your expaned selelr dashboard and see how you are faring.

Log into ebay safely, go to your my ebay page and part of the way down at the top there is a tab that says 'account' hover over that and choose 'seller dashboard' and that gives the headline figures. If anything is in red you may have problems.

I would happily buy from anyone with 4.7 stars across the board, but where stars dropped to 4.5 in any category I would check out the feedback generally to see what stars were low in case it was something that I should be worried about. If it was for item not as described, for instance, I might think twice about buying.

Also the lower the stars the lower your items become in the visibility stakes. Too low and no one will ever see your auctions.

I think that means that 2 people have left you either 1* or 2* for p and p and as it is in red you are in the danger zone for suspension.

It might be a good idea to slam up a few quick and easy items that you can ship at cost. Do them with post and packing at less than cost and get your stars back under control. I can't find the exact details, but I htink you are only allowed a percentage of 2.5% disatisfaction on any one star category, which you have exceeded. I'm sure someone else will have th elink to the ebay explanation for you.
