happy new year every one - this is the decade I am going to tweak the nose of the dreaded spindly killer mortgage and laugh in the face of debt by chucking whatever small change I have spare in my codpiece in its general direction

(as you can see I am no Ben Elton/Richard Curtis)
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine

I believe its an ancient German ritual from Elizabethan times

"Gs: (in background) Ein, zwei, ein zwei...

EB: Right, now this is it. Don't forget, when they are at their most *vulner-able*.

Gs: Ein, zwei...Halt! Jingle the keys: (keys jingle) Open the door!
(door opens) Greetings to the prisoners: (they take one step in, and
wave) Guten abend, Englander-scum! March to the table: Ein
zwei, ein zwei, ein zwei...Halt! Food on the table: ein zwei! (they
put down a loaf of bread and a sausage). Spit on the food: ein zwei!
Insulting further gestures to the prisoners: ein zwei, ein zwei! (they
    do pelvic thrusts)

EB: Now! (E & M hit their groins)

    Gs: OOOOHHH!

EB: (shaking out his hand) Trust me to get the hard one!
