sorry just read that you had got it, i would be intrigued to know more about the guarantee as microsoft only supply a 1 year warranty on the console but extended the warranty for an additional 2 years for the 3 red rings of death problem, and the extension only covers the RROD and nothing else, so if the dvd drive goes its not covered.
So is the seller telling you its a different warranty?? i.e game or argos (and others) sell additional warranties, or are they saying its a MS standard warranty?Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
"Just pops off". Yeah right, it's a knuckle-tearing bast*rd of a job to take the face plate offpitkin2020 wrote: »you remove the front pannel just pops off to check the seal but your waste your time as they are easy to remove and very esay to get replaced
Easiest way is to hook your index and middle fingers through the USB flap on the front, and just pull it towards you.
Removing the cover won't invalidate any warranty, it's encouraged (MS sell faceplates with different designs.
It might also be worth checking where the panels join at the back, near the plate with the serial numbers etc on. If the console's been opened, there might be signs of screwdriver action near there (there are push-pins holding the console together, which need to be... well, pushed in ... to open the console).
Good to hear it actually turned up

lol its really not that hard, on the top left (above dvd tray open button) slide your nails down between the cover and console and pull even a small child can get it off,
Your other bit of advice is the best way of seeing if it has been opened as the back is a nightmare to get off and you can usually see signs of a screwdriver being pushed in.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0 -
