Please can I join? Iwould like to set my monthly spend on groceries, cleaning products and toiletries to £360. This is a cautious start as ideally I would like this to be less but I have been spending about £125 a week, so this is a good start. As I improve, is it possible to reduce my target?

I have no idea how to do the signatures etc, but hopefully I will catch up with everyone soon.

Spent £30 in sainsburys today, lots of fruit and veg, milk and baking stuff. Going to try to eat the meat from the freezer this month so won't have to buy that.

I've found that if I stock up the cupboards with extra UHT milk I don't have to make more trips to shops. I also make my own bread now have a kenwood chef so will hopefully save a few pennies.

Managed to spend £12.50 today.. Did some night shifts and I was just desperate for some proper fresh food rather than frozen stuff from the freezer so I went and had a min-shop.. Bit disappointed (as I didn't want to spend until the 10th) but my body was crying out for some fresh food after eating toast for four days.

Went to Lidl yesterday and spent £28.41 as Muller yogurts were on offer. Was quite proud of this as I normally spend double that in Asda. Will see if these last a week. Going to make some home made soup for lunch for the next couple of days.

Discovered I forgot a couple of things (as I didn't have a list!!) but I sure I can manage without for a few days.

Well, I've done my freezer stocktake and menu plan - a couple of days later than normal, but the freezer's in the garage so I have to get my courage up and my woolies on, lol.

With a bit of shuffling, other than milk, I shouldn't need anything much until late next week - better than I originally thought - this month is looking promising (which is good because I've just converted my Mr T vouchers for the summer holiday, so I need to get the spending money from somewhere) :D

Went to Asda on the way home from work, just went for some milk and a bottle of bubbly for a friend, but got some yoghurts, dog food and Tropicana on offer, some big packs of pastrami whoopsied and some bananas and grapes.

Shouldn't need anything else for the rest of the week - just have to see if I can keep out of the shops altogether....

Nipped into Tesco on my way home as needed milk, so a 45p spend today (i'm impressed that I didn't look at anything else :D). I'm hoping it won't turn into an expensive day as I reversed out of the car park at work earlier and couldn't see properly (stupidly didn't stop to have a better look) and heard a horrible bang and crunching noise as I went into (I think) a bollard. I checked it, but can't see any damage, so am hoping it was just the bumper and it sounded worse than it is! I'll have to wait 'til the morning to check in daylight.

Made a broccoli and potato bake when I got in and have just eaten that. It was yummy and just what I needed as have been cold all day at work :(
