  • I've lost the envelope with my receipts so cannot declare for Jan but I know I went over my budget of £24O as I forgot about birthdays.
    NSD 0/15
  • last shop today, bought snacks for tonight (but small amount!), 5 tins of coconut milk for the storecupboard (55p each in coop) and fr chicken for tomorrow and then rissotto and curry during the week.

    Declaring now £232.34 for january.

Also another learning point today, we all know it but writing it to remind myself of it,that perfect planning prevents pathetic performance (my dad used to say p*** poor instead of pathetic), ended up spending five times the amount on something non food today because i didn't plan for it, although i knew it was coming so should have done!

I'm off now to make a list of storecupboard and freezer stocks, and to menu plan for next week. I've offered dd a choice of planning two meals but she is too busy playing she has said i can choose, so i will..
    nov grocery challenge, £.227.69/300, 9/25 nsd: , 7 Cmo, 10 egm.
Me, 10 yo dd, and the dog. all food and drinks, in and out, plus household shopping.

Im joining in again for Feb ( If I can start now)

Im set at 160pcm for 2 inc dog food, this is now reduced to 130 for feb.

Have started off by getting some 30p veg in morrisons this morning and I have made a butternut squash soup and a ginger cake. We will have HM pizza for tea as the slow cooker stewq not ready. That will be tomorrow.

We have planned in a wekes menu with only having to buy milk- I go to iceland for this so shouldnt need anything else.

January was a bit hit and miss - so £436 instead of £350.

Well done to this that made it.

reporting in at £497 out of £550. so Yay for me, especially as I have previously struggled at £600. Trying to keep the cost of meals at 50p per head has been enourmously helpful, but some work to do on rest of the budget

just popping over to February to set next budget
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
