Hi all hope everyone is doing ok:D hardly been able to get on here this month computer died and anything that can go wrong is going wrong! But we are hanging in on the grocery challenge:D:D 199.12 so as our annual budget works out to 50.00 per week (4 adults, food, cleaning, toiletries + extra mouths to feed 2/3 days per week!)and i take that out on a saturday we are on target:T Mind you we have now got through nearly all of the allotment veg that had been frozen:( and their appetites aren't getting any smaller! So I either need them to leave home (I'd miss them realy) or the extras to bring some donations:D0

Hi everyone
We're so over our budget for Jan that I am not even going to add up the receipts - don't want the shock:eek:
Feb budget is NIL - DH didn't get paid correctly for his last job and has only got paid for 9 days at his new job so we are severly short of money this month, on the plus side I put a rocket up the bum of CSA today and they reacted accordingly and have finally sorted out my award [haven't had CSA money for 4 months] and thats being started tomorrow so will use that to go towards food but as I know how unreliable Ex OH is I guess food might be in short supply this month
I'm setting a budget of £200 for Feb as its a 4 week month, thank goodness and we might JUST do it. Especially if I have words with DH about his spending otherwise known as bulk buying.
Well done all on what you have achieved in January as we all know how tight this month can be for most of us after Xmas
Its been a pleasure helping out and see you all on the new thread

Today should have been a NSD but I decided to go for a hike. I had forgotten to set the breadmaker going, so no bread; therefore had to buy something for lunch. I spent a total of £5.57, but for that I got a punnet of whoopsied cherry tomates, 4 crusy rolls, two little gem whoopsied lettuces, a pack of mandarins that were on offer (half price) and a block of wensleydale cheese. I only ate two of the rolls, six leaves of the lettuce, two tomatoes and two slices of the cheese. The rest is waiting to be used up tomorrow or later, so not too bad really.
Total now therefore is £61.58, so still well under budget. Will need to buy veggies tomorrow and possibly milk for the weekend, then start the new month on Sunday.
