Thankyou to everyone who replied for the motivational ideas for my supermarket/shopping addiction. It has been a painful past two weeks but I am working on strategies to deal with it and get some money back in our pocket.
DP has agreed to come with me and do the big shop with me and then I will have a few pounds £10 I think in cash for milk etc and once it's gone it's gone.
I'm also not going until the freezers have been cleared - we have so much it's embarassing:o

Anyway I will be following you all in the Feb challenge and sort of joining in except my challenge will be a very personal one

Thankyou all again and see in Feb x

I'm declaring £76.50 for January - well under budget, so I'm pleased with that.
Life is not a dress rehearsal.
  • Ok, had a look at the budgets, and due to serious lack of funds this month, the budget is being cut again!

    Feb is £300 please

Off now to make some lentil soup, read it someone had made it earlier in this thread and it has put me in the notion for some.

We'd run out of milk so I thought oh no I'm going to have to buy some and I've alreday declared for the month. So I have made some with the milk powder I use for breadmaking. Washed out the old milk carton and shook it up and put it in the fridge. My son noticed the difference but had it on his cereal anyway. Made some bread so I won't need to buy anything and I'll have enough bread and milk for tomorrow and I'll lift some steak out of the freezer for tea tomorow. Have had all NSD since I shopped at Sainsburys last Saturday.
