Got there on time today and train delayed for 40mins, grrr!!! However bought bacon roll cos had to leave early and didn't manage to get breakfast before I left.
Should get to end of week without needing to shop as there's bread n milk in the freezer and then get paid on Fri so new month...

Thanks AngelatGraceland. I don't mind tap water, it's just I was thirsty while out and preferred water to coke as I have just weaned myself off it after years of been addicted to the stuff. However, I've just bought myself a new flask so I have no excuse to leave it at home now. Just have to wean myself off the lemonade.0

We have only been in a supermarket 6 times since the 30th December and I think keeping out of them is helping us keep to the GC this month.
.
Ooh and I'm getting excited thinking about my first supermarket shop since December 17th:D
and NSD today, rep came to work and brought lunch so I came home wih a pack of sarnies(horrible-plastic cold wet bread, but I did eat them)and millionaire shortbread

Not spent anything of my grocery budget since last Thursday, despite going out to the coast yesterday, wandering around various shops and passing a big Sainsburys and Tescos on the way home.
Have just done an inventory of my freezer and there is enough meat in there for another 15 days meals, so I don't think I'll need to do a 'big' shop quite yet. Will need to get some fresh fruit and more milk later this week, and I won't bother buying salad stuff for a while, as today I threw out a whole cucumber that had gone really soft and was growing white stuff on it... yukk!
I'm really enjoying doing this challenge: we used to throw loads of food out on the compost heap or for the birds if it didn't get eaten, now we're more conscious of what we're wasting.Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Hi all,
Decided to order my online shop for delivery tomorrow, as delivery charge is £2 cheaper on certain weekdays. So spent another £78.33. Am using up everything in my freezer, and can see at the back of my store cupboard for the first time in years!!! Have to say, planning ahead, although initially takes more time, saves so much more in the long run. I am finding it really helpful especially as like angelatgraceland I can't be bothered to think about tea from scratch when I come in from work. I am convertedCC 1 Halifax £4350(4.9%)CC 2 MBNA £6260 (5.4%)CC 3 Barclaycard 8500(0%)CC 4 Tesco £2500O/D £3000:eek:0 -
Another NSD for me today. Didn't need anything so stayed away from the shops. Hope to do the same tomorrow.:xmastree:Merry Christmas0

I went out on my motorbike for the first time today - it was only delivered yesterday. I needed milk, so I went to sainsburys. I think this is the way to go all the time now - i took my rucksack, so could only fit a limited amount in! If i drive, it's easy to pick up whatever i fancy...
i'm really bored of cooking the same old stuff, so i'm going to actually get round to cooking some of the great things i've found on these threads. it needs to be stuff i already have the ingredients for though!!!
I think i will try to cook at least one new thing every month from now on, and see how i go.
PG xGrocery challenge for family of three - me, dd(12) and ds(11), feeding dp 2 or 3 x a week too. Only food, not toiletries. Jan £87.97/£100 Feb £0/£100
Frugal 2018 needed! Saving and NOT spending0 -
Well, I haven't reported in for a while as I'm ashamed of myself!
After all my talk about having enough in the freezer to last I gave in on Friday (after loads of NSD's) and went to Mr T's. It was a mixture of being bored and fed up, with the weather and the fact OH hadn't been at work for 4 weeks. Anyway, I managed to spend £37.24:eek: Bad for me as I was hoping to save some money to put towards the fuel bills.
Anyway, only dog food to buy this week. That will be about £30 so will just squeeze in if I dont get fed up again!!0 -
Hi all
another planned NSD here for me, i remembered to take the sausages out of the freezer last night so tonights tea will be sausage and onion pasta.
Last night we had quick paella so still managed to keep to the no spend plan
I`m hoping that i won`t need to shop until Saturday as we only have a teeny tiny amount left this month so i`m keeping my fingers crossed.
Keep your purses closed peeps
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0
