    Hi.
this thread is definately helping me to remember to use my freezers more.
Tea is chicken tikka( a nice cheat 2day as i bought some half price 52p sauce in coop, I did buy the chicken this week, went to the freezer and lo and behold 2 naans and 2 types of frozen left over rice ( and I was just about 2 make some naans aswell) Its saved time and effort as well as money. Desert is the 3 over ripe bannanas that I have left over, baked with local honey and the juice of a soft left over orange and some half price kellys latte ice cream (coop again).
NSd today but will get some veg tommorow
Suppoise I best get tea on then, if I can stop eating the cokkies I made off here

Hi all, I haven't posted for a while but I have been trying to keep up with everybodies posts.

Here is a quick update of GC spends:
    • OH's spends at work £12, this is since the beginning of the year but I do need discuss this with him.
    • Monday we decided to go out for dinner £34.70
    • Organic F&V delivery £24.50
    • Sainsburys & boots today £56.75
    Total £127.95.

In Sainsburys managed to pick up some whoopised Mascarpone, which is good news as I saw a recipe for cheesecake you make in the slowcookerand I wanted to give it a try, now I have the excuse :rotfl:

Feel happy with the spend so far as plenty in and no plans to revisit supermarket before the end of the week.

    Off to update signature.

I don't think of it as cheating just fortunate, a good way of streaching the budget.

You could always put any underspend at the end of the month in a seperate pot for treats or holidays.

Silverco, we always do this. Generally use the tea, coffee, hot chocolate sachets when camping. Have ended up in the past of having to use freebie tea bags for a week as we had run out. Last summer I even ended up serving friends a pot of tea with sachets/pots of milk we had acquired :rotfl:

Just back from the weekly foray to Mr T's - managed to stick to the list other than 2 items (one I'd forgotten off the list and one was a treat).

Spent £44 and pennies so within budget for the week but maybe a bit much for the monthly total - I did get laundry stuff and bits of cleaning stuff so at least I won't need them for the next couple of weeks.

Off to update the total and to work out what I can cut back on to stay in the monthly total with one more "big shop" to go. Hmmmm....

Well have done the weekly shop and spent a total of £30.94, well within my budget of around £40 a week.
Interestingly, I think ;), spending more in Al*i than in Mr M, £19+ as opposed to £11...and am convinced this is saving me money. Been doing this for a couple of months now and plan to continue.

So a fair bit of batch cooking planned for the weekend and some baking for next weekend when we are feeding the five thousand , well 16 adults & 6 kids. (Contributions from the visitors, who are all family are encouraged!!so not that bad really).

    Will update total.

Thank goodness the weather here has improved a bit though still cold and drizzly.
    Have a good weekend all.

Hi everyone, well I only have £1.90 now to last me to the end of the month after spending £30.23 at asda and co-op. I've stocked up on a few things so I should only need milk.

I can see me having a few more NSDs lol. But determined to stay in budget !
