Another GC NSD today, which makes 6 so far. I'm really pleased with how its going so far.
Having read the posts from last night and today though I am tempted to head out to Mr S to see what whoopsies they have. I've just bought a new chest freezer which is only half full so have plenty of room for storage but there isn't anything we really need as meals are planned through to next Tuesday. Decisions, decisions.....what shall I do?:xmastree:Merry Christmas0 -
Hi All
Had a MrT delivery last night £89.17 so have updated my signature. Was very impressed the man carried the boxes into the kitchen for me. That's never happened before.2025 Decluttering 10472⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Popped into Mr T after parents evening (which went well!) and picked up lots of fruit and veg,(only managed 4 of my 5 portions of F&v today) milk, bread, loads of cat food (because the cat will only eat Tesco's own brand)l, and a birthday card for my Mum. Got a couple whoopsies which have gone in the freezer and managed to spend almost £50! But looking at the menu plan we have enough for meals for another week so I can put off shopping until next Wednesday probably. This still leaves £150ish so the budget's looking really good. I plan to stock up on the nouvelle at the co-op as I always regret not buying more when it's on offer.
Need to do some baking at the weekend so we've got some cakes for packed lunches.
Good luck all.Mortgage Free in 3 part 2 challenge - pay off £9000

Hi,when we used to get MrT home delivery, some of the men would say.."would you like me to bring it through for you ?",think it depends on the driver..though im sure if id asked, any of them would have done it:D

Definitely sad and bad, but we would all do it - but you would normally only expect a more experienced MSEr to post about it
so well done - you're doing very wellI think I saw you in an ice cream parlour

Evening folks, sorry for not posting for a while. Mixture of things not least when my DS informed me the night before last that a tin of golden syrup had “accidently fallen over” in the larder - it took 3 hours to sort (I have metal slatted shelves it was more than half way up a full height larder), but at least I now have a good start to my inventory
.
I have updated my signature for the 2 shops; the first of £94.07 on Tuesday was by DH at A$da local to his office; he offered as we were well and truly snowed in at home. So I signed into mysupermarket and looked up the bargains for all the things we needed (it had been 3 weeks since the last "big" shop). DH was so proud of himself – “look how much I got for under £100”:T. He picked up quite a few whoopsied items; like Christmas Maltesers x 3; 8 tubs of mayonnaisey sandwich filling; a raspberry cheesecake; and lots of crisps. I think the lack of such items since I have been home and doing all the shopping/cooking has taken its toll.
The second was at L1dl for £29.87 and included such staples as cheese, bacon, offer veg, bread mixes, flour, and pasta. Although I did want to buy some Pate and was told that “this store no longer stocks it”.
I have a Co-op shop planned on Saturday for the bargains in a local small town where my DD does ballet; there is also a small farmer’s market there and I will pick up a large sack of potatoes – these will last about 2/3 months.
So this should be us set until the end of the month, except for milk (milkman – still not missed a day, his van must be on skis) and fresh fruit/veg.
Silly question alert……..:o
I was watching the C4 diet programme on Sky+ this morning and Matt Dawson did homemade oven chips – has anyone tried this? Are they any good? Could I par boil, coat with oil then freeze them, hence producing homemade frozen oven chips? Well as I will have a sack of tatties………
Oh Silver well done - I used to travel a lot on business and we still have a small bathroom cabinet full of bits - really useful when you have guests. Also have a box of tea/coffee sachets, particularly useful for the odd flavour teas and decaf for guests.November 2009 stopped my world and jumped off.. Might get myself a sack of tatties soon too, as our organic box scheme finished at Xmas (they only run from June - Xmas). At least the weather is cold enough to stop them sprouting...though they could freeze!!
Off to bed, up too late again!
