mooloo and hart congratulations on getting somewhere to sell your fabby things

love the bags Keiss and georigababy!

I quick question... not sewing related

the rip stop fabric is it totally waterproof? I have been toying with an idea of making curtains for the veranda of my playhouse that I can pull over when I want to paint furniture as our weather is bipolar and my painting projects are piling up and I really was hoping to get them done before the winter

would rip stop the rain from getting into the veranda?

Well done mooloo and hart44 on getting outlets for your work. Hope you sell loads!

I have been a busy bee the past couple of days, making my first srt of bags. I wasn't completely happy with the way the zip ends lie at their ends, so had a fiddle, and came up with a solution with the bags I made yesterday.

The first ones are more make-up style bags, I made these on 28/06/2011.

I will be posting them off tomorrow to friends and family for birthdays past and future...so I have to make some more!!:

While the second ones are patchwork and more useful as pencil, jewellery or phone cases, all made on 29/06/11:

Thanks everyone for being such an inspiration. I am seriously thinking of making things to sell, and possibly teach other folk how to make things too (knitting, cross-stitch and crafting as well as sewing).

    they look great well done

Today was the day I was to be made redundant, but as all the paperwork hasn't been finished, I am having to wait for my money. :(

I have no work to go to, so I have started having fun playing and making things!!!

I plan on having a go at making lots of different things in the next month or two, and see what I like making and what might sell well. I will also have created a sort of portfolio of work which I can then show folk, when I want to sell or teach later on.

I just have to get over the guilt of crafting all day! :rotfl:

Mind you, tomorrow I have to clear out of my craft room. It is DS1's bedroom and he is back home room Uni on Saturday! This evening I have been hunting round looking where I can put everything. I have found homes for the biggest three boxes...so that's a start. :o Think I will leave the rest of the tidying up until tomorrow. So back to working in the dining room...what a pain.

If I don't sell much, at least I wil have all my Xmas pressies made!! :rotfl:

    sorry about the redundancy
Well done Mooloo and Hart. Its a great feeling when someone is interested in your stuff! Keiss they looks great and Miss Pixie I love your cushion. Just left a message on your blog. I think we all must be in the zone for selling just now. Ive been off work for a month now but as I cant sew due to moving house next week and my machine and fabrics being packed away for some time Ive spent my time setting up a new blog design and facebook page/folksy shop (as well as all the boring stuff like a new paypal account etc) and as soon as I get my craft room sorted Im ready to go! Feel quite excited about it now! Have had a few people ask about buying my bags and stuff already so fingers crossed.

Dollypop Im glad at least some of your fabrics arrived. x

    hope your move goes ok

    Lovely makes Keiss.

Talking about selling stuff; do you remember I was going to sell some of my things in a local shop? Well guess what ? It's shut down before I even got any sales!
Actually it was quite lucky in a strange kind of way. I only noticed afterwards that the tutorial I used for the card holders was for personal use only. I'm going to have to take more notice in future.

I've been making myself a patchwork bag using some old curtains and lined with a duvet cover.

Loving the bags and it just makes me want to get upstairs and go and sew now! But not sure my arm will let me.
Have the tennis on the TV, but of Course Murray is not doing that well some how.
My daughter was taking pictures of the things that I had in stock, and that i had updated yesterday. She tried to send them to me over skype but the files failed. They took so long to download so she is going to put them on a disc for me. When she does I will stick them up on the blog. Havent used that in ages! Or it seems that way anyway.
Had wanted to put the Elves on it, but the photo's didnt come out. Typical.
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

Make them! They are really easy and much much cheaper. I want to make some on printable fabric but I think my OH might leave me if I spend any more money :P
