hope you can get it sorted
but it would still look good as a keep sake anyway
I have been lovingly going through my fabric and mentally sewing it into something nice
oh this no sewing is driving me nuts :rotfl:Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Oooh I love all the lovely things you have all been making, you are all so talented.
I was saving up to buy a sizzix machine but after seeing the storage cubes on the sewing room no chat thread it has swayed me to buy a sewing machine instead, would love to make some of the items listed in there.
Can anyone recommend a good sewing machine that wont break bank, but would easily be able to do the projects for teh storage boxes and the smaller, fiddlier (is that a word?) projects too?Comping wishlist for 2017

Hi Savvy
Im so glad you have joined the sewing bug :rotfl: like Pootle said it depends on what budget you have as there are lots of machines to choose from
My OH brought me a new machine for xmas it is this one http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/4600255/Trail/searchtext%3ESEWING+MACHINE.htm
It does everything I want and is a bit better than my 1st one I had
Good luck in choosing oneGetting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a timeand Love sewing

Thank you PootleFlump and Hart, to be honest I have no idea how much it costs for a sewing machine, I expect around the £150 mark but I think it is worth investing in a good quality machine that will last long and has the capabilities of doing more than say a cheapy one would but I haven't a clue at the difference between them I am a complete novice!
I remember when I was around 11 I borrowed my mums so I could make some hairbands and I really enjoyed it. I'm dying to get all arts and crafty figure hubby would be less annoyed at a sewing machine than a die cutter.Comping wishlist for 2017

I have a janome which I love! Mine's a specialisy quilting one with 60+ stitches (I only ever use 1!!) so cost a few hundred quid but will last a lifetime...got mine online and didnt have any problems; john lewis can be really helpful when getting a machine and they'll explain it all to you!
