hope you have some luck with choosing a machine soon but I just thought I would let you know the one I have (brought early this yr) it has been used to death and has never let me down yet (touch wood :rotfl:)

The only prob Ive had is the bulb blew after a month but Ive not bothered replacing it as I don't need it.
For the money it does what I want

I got mine for about £60 in Lidl earlier on this year. Have used it loads. I know lidl repeat offers every few months, so might be worth keeping an eye out.0

If you want the opposite of that company try www.sewingmachinesdirect.co.uk they have customer service second to none and will often price match. It does matter where you get it from because you want back up if it goes wrong (and a cheaper machine is more likely to.) A broken machine is no good to anyone and SMD were fantastic when my machine broke. hi all i joined mse a while ago but have not been on in ages then someon on another forum told me there was a sewing thread on here so thought i would come over for a look, that was about a week ago so rather than lerking i thought i would say hello.
