well i'm on the last stretch now of making my padded table runner. wish now i didn't have such a big dinning table, lol. i think the runner is 2.5 m long and although i only used 2oz wadding it is quite hot working on it when it been as hot as it has. however i now just need to find some pale blue spotty binding at a good price and then hopefully it won't be too much longer. Must say tho i have loved making it. and i'm so chuffed. will post pic's once complete hopwfully end of week.

i also made the basic bag for a story sack last night . ( i'm doing a school project with some other mum's. school has giving us some funding to make some story sacks for reception class). Any ideas on how to sew a cobweb ? the sack is back and i was thinking a silver cobweb .

Instructions to make them are also on this blog http://www.madebyflorence.co.uk/pdf/wigglybagpattern.pdf

hiya, no i'm not but this is arranged though the learning and skills council i think. part of family learning. i not realy too sure how it all work's. i'm also doing an english course with the same group. took my part 1 exam 2 weeks ago and i take my part 2 next year. But the school has given some extra funding and a group of parents were invited to take part in the course for 10 weeks. then once we finish in july the school has offered us more funding to carry on for another year making more for the school. We do get a certificate and big picnic and awards thingy is organised for next week, the head of our council is going to be handing out the certifacate. which is why i am thinking it is council run. i am quite enjoying making things for the school knowing it is going to be staying on at the school for a long long time for all the children to enjoy.
