Pootle - the flower fabric is from a teatowel - a pack of 3 from home bargains for £1.49. The pink dotty pegbag fabric is also one from one of the teatowels from the pack. The dress is made from a pillowcase.

Newbie lou i placed an order with fabricrehab last week and it came on saturday (can't remember what day i ordered it possibly tuesday).

The crayon rolls were really easy to make and my the flower one was for my friends little girl and my friend loved it. They do make nice pressies and very cheap to make.

Love your makes Dizzy. I keep meaning to make a crayon roll for my GD and I have those t-towels waiting to be used :D

Firstly - I love reading all your blogs, but still havent worked out how to post comments lol! I am so inspired that I am attempting to start my own but am still fiddling with the design so any tips are welcome as I really dont know what I am doing!

I really enjoy reading about what people have made & this site is nearly becoming a hobbie in itself - what with trying to keep up with this thread, your blogs & all the links and recommendations!

I finished my first ever "proper" project - a top from an Oliver & S pattern called sailboat. I was over generous with my seam allowance, so it is a bit tight for my son. (I am a metric girl & pattern is amercan so in imperial) I am pretty pleased with how it looks but i finished the seams with a zig-zag & they look scruffy. So I will be trying another way of finishing seams next time. I used an old stripy sheet to make up the pattern and i am not sure about how it looks - reminds me of the film "the boy in the striped pajamas" which is about a concentration camp. But the sheet only cost 50p at a carboot & I have learnt quite a lot for the next time.

On Saturday I went to a beginners quilt-making course at Tikki London & had a great day so I now have another "work in progress".

Sunday I braved the heat to go carbooting & got a few pieces of fabric but have no idea what to do with them yet.

    Thank you Kandi :D
They are nice and quick to do but the glue bit is fiddly, I now found out you can mask off the part of the fabric you want to hold onto to push it in the frame so the glue dosen't go on it :o

Today I bought a nice fabric swatch book, lots of 'pages' for £5. They all have a 2 "paper strip along the bottom ( details listed ), does anyone know if this can be easily removed? I tried peeling but seems not to be an option.
Thinking I may make the zip make up bag though it's a heavier weight than that which I've seen others use.

Thats great news Tamster would be lovely to keep up with your makes. Blogster is very easy to use - so I hope to see your blog soon. How did the quilt making course go?, any interesting tips? Id love to make a quilt one day, but Im not sure I have the patience! Carbooting is great, trouble is, I went looking for fabrics and I came back with kids toys!!

Great cases Hart I love the little purse, how was Pink? x
