Does anyone know the legal implications of selling things you've made, i.e. fabric composition, wash care labels etc?
I've tried looking all over and get to dead ends, thought Trading Standards website would be a good place but don't seem able to find them, also spent ages looking on the Sewing Forum but no definative answer there either.....

    Thanks for the help!

I think Trading Standards are part of local authorities so maybe try your council's website. If you have no joy there I'd email them or ring the general enquiry phone line. Good luck, let us know how you get on.

Oh and https://www.craftsforum.co.uk have loads of info about selling, maybe they could help.

Good news - some of dh's friends stayed over last night and one of them has happily spent today sewing dd's dancing costumes:j. she has also given me an idiots guide to using my machine ( I can now do zigzag stitches woohoo)

Just got to make my own outfit for dress rehearsal on Thursday so am going to use pj pants as a template then add a few more inches to make the trousers really baggy. Am going to try a ric rac bag next - and am sitting down later to plan my summer hols and stitching plans!

Am also going to take the advice and head to the library for more basic skills and inspiration

I've finally uploaded pics of my last few makes on to my blog. I've made some cot sheets from a pair of double sheets for the new grandbaby due around Christmas, 3 sundresses for DGD & I've made 3 tops for my self, but only posted a pic of one as the others are still waiting for binding. You'll have to wade back a couple of posts as I've done some posts on the rubber chicken I cooked today.
