    Hi All,
Can anyone help me pls. Ive almost finished my dress but decided not to line it but put bias binding round the neckline and sleeves instead (Ive made the sleeves but dont like them so decided just to keep it sleevless). Ive never used bias tape so dont know what to buy (or if I should attempt to make my own). Is there a certain kind you should get for doing neck or arm holes? There are so many thicknesses as well that Im all confused by it. Any help would be much appreciated as I need to buy it in time for my last class next Wednesday. Thanks all.

p.s Like the fabric swap idea. Ill join in once Im organised if that ok (am currently moving house, renting out my flat, car just broken down and starting new job Monday so my life is total chaos ATM!!!)

Hi Tete - i dont have a blog but do now have a blogger account. whilst this means i could now have a blog, for now its a page where i can 'follow' my favourite blogger blogs and also means i dont have to repeat all my info each time i want to post, and if i enter giveaways my contact info is avalible. it might be worth a look into?

Thanks for that - seems I had set up an account a little while ago so a quick forgotten password request and I'm away! Big mistake as I can see no work getting done now - Blogs suck you in, you click from one to another to another... I may or may not start writing on mine yet, we'll see!

I've joined the swap anyway, thanks Tina for sorting it.

Love the piggy bag and the little red bag too - well done!

I always make my own so it matches whatever I am making. This site has some instructions for cutting it out and sewing it together.

Brilliant thanks!! Do you know if I should make double or single fold for putting round armholes and necklines?

Tina - thanks for sorting this out, I have joined up and put your button on my blog sidebar too.

Kandi sorry to be a real pain but i have now changed the button as the first one i did was rubbish:o Not sure the one i have now done is much better but i will be sticking with it.

Thanks to everyone who has agreed to swap so far we have 12 poeple and i have had a couple of PM's off people who don't have a blogger account but still want to join in. If there is anyone else who wants to join in but doesn't want to sign up to blogger just send me a PM and i'll include you on the list :D

Pootle there is no rush it doesn't end till 11th June so don't worry:)

Perhaps UK only might be a good idea for the swap? What does everyone else think?

kandipandi - or anyone else who might know - where do you get those little tiney keyring clips you used on your felt russian dolls and bag charms? i'd really appreciate a point in the right direction. cheers!

Mine were from Hobbycraft IIRR, but they were Beads Unlimited ones and you can find them here £2.95 for 20 (plus postage).

Been obsessing with union jacks again and came up with these, the blue cotton was previously a mans shirt (washed of course):

Fantastic purse Kandi you are so clever and i love the heart but it looks like it would be quite fiddly to do?? How did you get the little bead on the zipper?

Thanks for the link to the keyrings i'm off to order some

Thanks Tina - for the beads on the zip, I used my jewellery making bits and bobs - you need a headpin, a silver end bead two glass beads and a pearl and I made a wrapped loop (with jewellery round nosed pliers) at the top and secured it to the hole in the zip pull. You could just make something and attach it to one of those little keyring clips if you don't have the bits to make jewellery.
p.s. the heart was a bit of a faff as are the purses, and I am a bit a&%l and like all the stripes to be in the correct position (in relation to the real union jack) so I am my own worst enemy, but I quite like to fiddle on sometimes.

I love your makes kandi, the colours are nice and fresh. Just wandering if it is easier to sew the union jack flat first then have a heart template, draw round that. Right sides together etc and stitch. Thats probably what you do already, I know i would be faffing for ages trying to line ribbons up etc.
