I am hoping to make the dino one for my youngest grandson, 2yr, and knit him some dinosaurs from Jean Greenhowe pattern to go with it. He is crazy about dinosaurs at the moment. I am thinking of putting a zip pocket in to keep them in when they are traveling around.

Meant to tell you all - I was passing our local Forbidden Planet shop at the weekend and they had a sock monkey in the window! I forgot to check the price so I googled them and thought I'd share this with you - this proves some people with pay a ridiculous amount of money for nothing. Lets face it how easy would this be to make, ok it talks and moves but still!!!!

When I was at the Star Trek experience in Las Vegas (a long, long, long time ago) they were selling these, without the moving and noises for $11 each! Loads of people were buying them.

Hi everyone, it's my first time in this thread! I used to sew obsessively but have somehow got out of the habit, I feel quite inspired after seeing your posts here. I want to make a sock monkey!

I was wondering if anyone had the new Homestyle Sewing magazine that just came out? I stumbled across the facebook page for it and it looks lovely but I know it's quite expensive, just wondered if it was worth splashing out on.

I finished my larger purse today (in between the washing and cooking) and the other frames I got off ebay arrived today so more to make for xmas prezzies

I brought this kit from uhandbag.com as I wanted a pattern but I just love the bags on that site.
