You might be able to use thick card and paint it with chalkboard paint?

Go for it! I'm too scared to start a quilt ~ I would love one for the bottom of my bed and I have loads of beautiful fabric, but like yourself, I imagine I would have spasms working on it and it may end up being a lap quilt for me in my old age!

    Hi everyone :D

I have been sorting all my boxes of fabric and found a small piece of butterfly batic fabric, I had made my DD some drawstring bags for her room and had a small bit left so decided to play with it and made another twin heart hanger, this time I put some country spice mix inside so it smells nice too :D

They are really nice, I love that fabric(I am a sucker for butterflies).
The shape of those hearts from the Tilda book are lovely too, reminds me of the shaker stuff, I can imagine them in red gingham.

Has anyone got the Amy Butler In Stitches book? Ive ordered it from my library but not sure if its more interior design stuff rather than sewing projects. It doesnt tell you much in the library descriptions...
