Not been on MSE for ages...working full time atm, so little free time to come on here....shouldn't really be here now, but wanted to catch up a bit.

Will have a proper look later in the week.

Have a good week everyone xx

  • Has anyone ever started something they wish they hadn't?

I decided to revamp my caravan ready for this year. We bought it in April last year and had some lovely time away but I wanted it be 'ours', I have a month before we go away in it and the curtains are still looking at me so I am sat this morning unpicking them all as I want to reuse the lining! This IS a job I wish I hadn't started! :rotfl:

Moment of sanity yes I have started something I wish I hadn't. We have a camper and wouldn't mind new curtains may be later in the year. Hope they don't take you to long.

HMO love the book it is very professional. Maybe The flowers you made last night could be made into headbands or brooches, there to nice not to use.

Betsie 2010 hope work wasn't to bad.

I have finished the baby blanket for my daughter's friend, will post picture tomorrow.

    Take care

    Advice needed

My lovely dad turned up with a brand new Sewing machine in wrapping paper. I was so excited but he gave it to me a it was that light I thought it was an empty box. So I opened it and its a children's mini machine lol I was gutted. He says its from argos.

Do you think I will be able to take it back
I'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!

i thought about brooches i have some findings but i dont have a darning needle to sew them on with i will have to get one.

that will only cater for one or two though will have to leave them on one side i see if anything else comes to mind for them.

What a kind thing to do, very sweet of him. You should be able to take it back with no problems, I have taken things back to Argos in the past with no problems.

Put a notice on your local freecycle for a sewing machine, a few friends have got one that way.
