Oh no winniethepooh... that would really stress me out. Hope you can get it fixed or get another somehow soon.
I'm still working on my draught excluders. I have appliqued felt butterflies onto it and now I want to stitch smaller fabric butterflies on top of the felt ones. But I only want to stitch down the middle to give an effect that the butterflies are almost 3D. Has anyone any ideas about what I can do to the edge of the fabric butterflies to stop fraying?OU Student! - ED209, SDK125, DSE212, SK124, DSE141, SD226, DXR222, DD303, DD307 = BSc Psychology0 -
Sorry to hear about the machine Winnie, hope you can get it sorted out.
I made a start on my dress this morning, cut out and sewn up the main bodice. Thats as far as I got as don't want to rush into it and go wrong. Also altered a pair of jeans I was given that were very flary, made them into skinny jeans so I can wear them tucked in my boots.
Was going to do some hand sewing this afternoon but might have to go round to baby sit the grandchildren and cant be bothered to carry it all round there.0 -

That's great little star.
Unfortunately we cant afford to get a new machine for a few months now. Things are a bit tight for now. I'll still post on here if you don't mind I love to see what you've been makingI'm trying so hard to be thrifty, but it doesn't come naturally. You lot are an inspiration!JUST LOVES THE O/S BOARD0 -
Hi all, hope you don't mind me posting. Have been reading and lurking for a while, loving everyone's pieces.
I'm after some advice. I have just started to hand sew those hanging hearts, never sewed before in my life so just learning as I go. The thing I'm struggling with is closing the hole. When I stitch it shut it looks terrible. If anyone could point me in the direction of a good tutorial it would be greatly appreciated.
