I was thinking of getting this one for my DD:
    http://www.dotcomgiftshop.com/deluxe-sewing-kit

It's reduced to £4.95 so cheaper, but it only has a small tin rather than the pink box.

I ended up buying it :o

By the sound of it we are all too critical of our work but what I see here everything is wonderful and yes I have to stop myself from saying '' the stitches are a bit wonky'' were no-one would have even noticed :o

Well now off to get dressed and go to work :( next week half term so lots of things to be sewn :j
Getting myself sorted 1 day/1thing at a time :) and Love sewing :)

  • Hello all, I have a couple of big makes coming up so thought I'd join you all so I can pop in and vent my frustrations! Didn't realise quite how many projects I had backed up so here's my list:

Very Hungry caterpillar patchwork blanket and play cubes for OH's sister's baby's first birthday. Bought this material from eBay and am waiting for it to arrive: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/390388431698?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1497.l2649 Deadline: 27th March

Pink patchwork quilt for my baby, no deadline as she's still only two months old but by the time I've finished it she's probably going to be in her teens :o Bought two lovely fleece blankets from Primark to use as backing, opened them out at home and they're huge! They make them so you can't open them out in the shop so didn't know what I was getting myself into :rotfl:

Bunting with 'Emily' on it for baby's room. Made a start but put to one side, was hoping to have it finished before baby was born  Now aiming to have it hung up by the time she goes into her own room at about 6 months :o

Mini stocking advent calendar, started about a year ago. Deadline: before advent ;)

Would just like to point out that I hand sew everything, so I have at least a small excuse why it all takes so long! Will try and get some pics up as I go :)
D'you know, in 900 years of space and time, I've never met anyone who wasn't important
