Florenceem, I am all for doing things the easiest way possible, and the fastest! I am far to impatient, and thats probably why I do simple things, and not so many of the applique etc. Its not that I can't do it. Its that I want an instant result!. I can cross stitch, but it bores me to death. i can knit, but I find that I want to make something there and then, not wait for a few weeks till its finished!! Terrible attitude to have, but I suppose its a throw back from when I was a school and came home wanting something different to wear to the youthclub that night! I would be rummaging around in my mums fabrics, and cut out a top or a skirt or something, and I had to have it finished so I could be the only one wearing it at the club. Then everyone wanted one, and I would make similar for them, and that meant I needed something new again!!!
When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.

I have found this. I don't know anything about them though

Thanks for this. It is the right one,but I'm hoping to find it for free! Mind you, I suppose it's a small price to pay considering I got the machine from Freecycle!

Hello lovelies, and welcome to all the newcomers :T

I finally got round to doing some sewing, first little bit since before Christmas  Life just seemed to get in the way!

Anyhoo I've made a couple of lined jewellery pouches, they have 8 little pockets inside for rings & earings and a central section for bangles etc. One for me and one for DD (who agonised over which one to choose :rotfl:)

More piccies and a tutorial on my blog

the cushion that they made did have a flap that ended up on the patchwork side, which we would usually have thought would be the back of the cushion, but if you look at the programme closely you will see that they were not made that well at all. The fabric had slipped and didnt line up. The principle was there but it could have been done much better. I think it was more to show what you can make then the final outcome.! I think I would rather the Teatowelling had been on the back, and the floral pattern etc on the front, (Without the overflap being in the teatowelling, as it cut the patchwork up). Sorry nit picking!!!

    I thought exactly the same.
To say she was showing the girls what to do and it was on TV, I can't understand why she thought she'd done a good job! If she intended the teatowelling to be the front, she should have done the overlap in patchwork to look right.

Love the pouches Avstar. They would make lovely gifts for the girlies in my family.
Eldest DD gave me a skirt she no longer wears but didn't know if I could do anything with the fabric. It is a silk wrap skirt. I will post a photo but off to DGC school now - open assembly - they are doing Chinese New Year.
I went to the workshop yesterday helping them make lanterns/cherry blossom pictures and dancing dragons - exhausted when they went home.

Just tried to read the No Chat thread and had a message flash up warning about malware. My computer won't let me read the last page of that thread. Anyone else had a problem?
