Yeah! with the aid of my collar, I have managed to sew. Whoopie.
I have finally made the Named boys bunting that was ordered several months ago.! Good job it was for Christmas and wasnt a hurry.
Got to go to nursery so will post the piccy later. When I die I will know that I have lived, loved, mattered and made a difference, even if in a small way.0 -
Glad you managed it all right Mooloo. I couldn't be bothered to do any sewing this afternoon, I will see if I can get a bit done later on or if not tomorrow. I have the bits to finish off some of the bags. I have ordered some more webbing for straps. I think I could finish 4 off now though.
YD sorted out some clothes she didnt want so I have saved some of the bits to cut up for fabric. One of them is a sweat shirt with a nice picture on the front so I will be making that into a bag of some kind, probably like the one I did out of the tshirt. I need some more black out lining though so I am hoping OH would take me over there tomorrow or Monday as he is going away Tuesday for 10 days and I can't get there without him taking me in the car.0 -
I have posted a picture on facebook, not sure if i can copy it from there to here, I will try.

Its lovely Mooloo, was it easy to make? I am thinking of may be making some for ED for her bedroom for Xmas. How big are the triangles and what did you use to string them on?0

Mooloo - glad you feel and bit better and up to sewing. The bunting looks good - well worth the wait.
Have finished the bags I was making for my neice-in-laws. They are both teachers so I have also got them a folder, a notebook and a pen each to go inside. I intend ordering a personalised planner and a mug each for them from Vista and that's them doen for Christmas.
Has any one got any ideas what I can make for my two nephews. Again they are both teachers (teaching family sorry - although I don't teach I work in the LA for the education dept). One is 29 and other 26, neither smoke. Don't know what else to say really that might help. I would like to try to make them something to keep costs down but can't think what to do.
Any help appreciated.Cross Stitch Cafe Member #59 :j

bunting is dead easy to make just choose your triangle size you can either cut two pieces and sew with right sides together and then turn out or if you have pinking shears cut a single layer with them.
or use felt.
i have some on my blog
the white layer is felt and the elephant fabric was cut with pinking shears.
white triangles were about 4inch tall
this is felt again
this is the first ones i ever made these are two layers sewn and turned inside out and they hang in our craft/sewing room

Do either them have ipads or laptops that you could make them a case for? Or could you make something for the home if they have their own.Mooloo - glad you feel and bit better and up to sewing. The bunting looks good - well worth the wait.
