    Declutter going well:j:j

    OUT:
    Old PC magazines
    couple of catalogues
2 rubbish bags of shredded paper

Can't explain why I have so many usb flash drives. This fetish is worse than my sellotape one.:rotfl::rotfl:
    I went away and now I'm back.:j:j
  • Didn't really make as much headway as I hoped on the decluttering front today. I'd underestimated how much basic tidying needed to be done first including a backlog of washing. My heart sank when my washing machine started making terrible noises & all my washing came out dripping wet as it wasn't spinning properly. Desparately hoping that it can be mended rather than have to be replaced.

    IN

    Jewellery hook
    Waste paper basket
    New school shoes for DS

    OUT

    DS's old school shoes
    Book to friend
    More recycling
Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

Finally!- I am sitting here at my pooter looking down towards the bottom of the garden and over the fence I can see a big yellow lorry! They are emptying the black bins for the first time since 4/12! I hope I don't go out later and find that they've missed us!
I've got a pile of shoes in the kitchen to be cleaned and taken round to the charity shop later. I'm usually very lax about cleaning shoes but feel I should clean them to give them away!
Today's task is the really horrible kitchen cupboard with all the junk in (we have a junk cupboard rather than a junk drawer), paperwork, batteries, medicines and boxes of carp. This one is going to be fun!

Morning, I haven't done anything for a couple of days. DH is at work and kids are cluttering up the living with lego and cars! And it's raining so can't shove 'em in the garden.

On the plus side, we found a couple of DVD stand alone units in the cellar ( I was looking for something completely different and still haven't found it!) so the kids' dvds and computer games are on there now. Made the shelves an bit tidier.

You're all doing so well. Keep it up! :T:T:T

It might be your filter that is blocked, that's what it was when mine did the same thing. Have you got anyone who can do it for you?

  • Last night I decluttered the Bermuda Cupboard. You probably have one of these too - the cupboard where "stuff" gets put in and is never seen again because it's hidden by so much junk.

I last did mine a couple of months ago - but it was starting to "fail" again.

Pics - before, after and the junk that's left the house now. (rubbish bags, recycling bags, computer stuff & shelf waiting to be taken to the tip) The junk included broken keyboard, broken metal shelf, broken xbox guitar controller (are you seeing a bit of a pattern here? :rotfl:) remains of a very old computer, various cables and extension leads that haven't been used for at least 7 years.

The diffuser is back on its striplight now. And with some of that junk gone, there was enough space to put the printer trolley in there (rarely use my printer) Haven't thrown the magic sand away yet - seems a shame to do that - but can't think of anything else TO do with it as it doesn't have a box or instructions, so probably no use to a charity shop.

Planned for today - find and sort some bits that might be good to list on ebay tomorrow. And spend at least 30 mins de-junking the garage. Would like to fill a bin liner today. (already about 2 carrier bags-full in from the cupboard last night)

I had this happen a couple of months ago and it was the brushes that were worn down, hubby replaced them for about £18.00.

    Washing powder
    Toothpaste
    Beer (for the OH)
    2 packs of crisps
    2 pizzas (for the OH)

    Out
    2 binbags of rubbish
1 large bag of tins/jars for recycling

I've spent most of the day cleaning up the mess my mastiff pup has created overnight. Someone please explain to me how an alomst 6 month old mastiff can actually break out of her crate

Having a bit of trouble though, she climbed into the bath and left a few 'deposits' I've cleaned it all off and disinfected the entire bath however there is a lot of brown stains left. I did have some cillit bang but guess who burst the bottle

I'm not sure what to do with it, it's just a normal white bath (enamel I think?). Would bleach be too harsh or is there something else I could try?
