OH.. if he throws one more thing on my rather delicate stomach I swear I'll kick his behind all the way back to his mothers! I just growled at him so he apologised sheepishly and went to the takeaway.. this was the third time today I told him!!

    IN
Post - Mainly junk which has already been dealt with.
New Prescription Charge Certificate - Was able to claim back the money from the chemist for 2 items which was good. Down point was that my surname was spelt wrongly so have had to phone up for a replacement.

    OUT
2 jam jars recyled - dregs from them both put on my breakfast toast

    PENDING
Pair of boots - will have to dump in appropriate recyling skip when I'm next out. The zip went when taking them off this afternoon. Have had them a few years but was hoping they'd last the winter.

So glad I decided to join in on this thread. Reading what others are doing really helps keepme motivated.
  • In-

*Free toothpaste sample from tesco. Cant complain :)
    *Lemonade

    Out-

*bag of paper rubbish from DD's room - into woodshed for making into paper logs later.
*Dry felt tip pens/broken pencils/pen lids binned
    *Totally unwearable kids sandles binned
    *1 ebay parcel posted

Amazingly, my wheelie bin hasnt been collected for 3 weeks and its still not full despite the extra things Ive thrown away recently! But...I think the recycling is breeding...

Hi, Not doing too well today But

    IN
New Organised home calender( at last, let the planning and decluttering begin....BIGTIME!!!)
    Junk mail
    Few bits from shop

    OUT
2 bags of rubbish......and thats about it

Have set up my calender and put the matching diary(got this a whil back, but too easy to hide it!!!), on the coffee table so it's easy to access and plan.
So tomorrow's plan of attack is to go to MrT and get a few bits(spending a fortune in the co-op!!!), drop off a bag of DD's clothes (wardrobe sorted) in the clothing bins and take a pile of Christmas and Birthday cards(DD's Birthday was Dec 31st) to the card recycling thingy.
Have written a shopping list in my diary (tear off section), so will take it with me and HOPEFULLY not buy anything I don't need.

Well done to all who have been flinging things....an inspiration xx

Pigpen, hope you feel better soon and that OH behaves himself xx
  • I am not quite on target for my declutter 300 things in 30 days (loopychriss I can see why you do this in 100 things in 10 days bursts). But I must press on. Even my loved one today said I've been sorting out some DVDs and Wii games that can go. So thats good news. :A

I've not decluttered my 100 things in 10 consecutive days though.... I've done it every other day for the past few days.... doesn't really matter how long it takes, as long as you keep to the original target I suppose. I've done well over 100 things as I count a bag of craft stuff as 1 item, and a pile of books as 1 item. There might be 5 books in the pile....

Well done for what you have done... keep at it, you'll get there in the end!

  • Having a MASSIVE overhaul and declutter of my entire life, and am determined to let my ruthless streak out to play and get rid of ALL unnecessary baggage. I do have a huge amount of "stuff"....almost 100 pairs of pants for example.

    Evening All

Well my day has been a bit like the curates egg - good in parts

Major disaster today the shredder gave up the ghost!! ok not a major disaster but i know realise just how much stuff I shred :rotfl:

Have been out much of the day today but CD unit arrived today from halfcost so now I have managed to unpack all of the CD's we have from our move - we moved 3 years ago so it is long overdue  but on the positive side I have got rid of two boxes out of the spare room.

On the negative side due to the cold weather we have got a mouse in the cupboard  so have had to go and get a mouse trap today as well as containers to put the flour in just to be on the safe side.

    So In:
    CD Unit
Mouse trap (humane one so the kids dont get their fingers caught!)
    Food shopping
    Containers
    Mouse

    Out:
    Magazine
    2 lots of toiletries
    2 packing boxes :T
    Old CD cases/broken CDs

Like lots of people on here I will be listing on ebay on Sunday so planning a big declutter next week - will try harder tomorrow!

Mary hope everything has gone well today, Moneypenny - hope your viewings bring you all you want :D Pigpen hope you feel better hun - I know you are getting rid of the kids this weekend, but try to have a rest too!

I doubt my entire family has 100 pairs of pants!;);)

mind you - i should bin all those that slip down when I'm wearing them!:D
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
  • Had a better day today for decluttering, getting onto the bigger stuff now.

IN: Battery for hubby's laptop which doesn't fit so will have to go back:mad:
2 ATCs (Artist Trading Cards) that my partner in a craft swap sent me
1 colour pattern of a cross stitch chart I bought on Ebay last year

    OUT:
5 bottles of prescription baby milk. These are what my grandson had to have to build him up. They’re now out of date and he doesn’t need it any more. Going to tip the milk down the sink and put the plastic bottles in the recycling bag.
Cardboard box from a new iron. This has been hanging around for a few months waiting for me to do something with. That something is now putting it in the cardboard recycling!
Toyota electric sewing machine. I now have 3 sewing machines and this is the oldest of the 3. I don’t really need 3 so I’m giving it to someone on the MoneySavingExpert forum who lives near me.
Two video cassettes of the Vicar of Dibley. I now have the complete series on DVD so these are excess to my needs. I’ve put these on Freegle.
Pair of sunglasses. Picked these up at a jumble sale for my daughter, who is always losing sunglasses but she doesn’t like them, so they’re going back to the next jumble sale (7th February).
Snowman from the top of a Christmas cake. Don’t need this any more, so it will go to the same jumble sale.
Lid from a liquid air freshener. This has been laying around since before Christmas so I really think it’s time to say goodbye. Going into the recycling bag.
Fitness DVD given away free with a newspaper. Don’t want this, going to the jumble sale.
Paper trimmer. I have used this to death and the lines are all worn away from where I used it so much. I bought a new one before Christmas so have offered this on Freegle.
Rubber mat that belonged to the sewing machine we had to take to the tip. I might keep this as I’m sure there’s a use for it, but I can’t think what it is at the moment! If I haven’t thought of a use by 7th February I’ll take it to the jumble sale.
Scissors, scissors and yet more scissors! I had a cull of all the scissors in the house – total was 62 pairs! No idea why we’ve got so many, except that I’m a crafter and was always buying scissors. We had 22 pairs in the kitchen drawer alone! I’ve now decluttered them all, but there’s still around 20 pairs around the house. Not sure how to dispose of these, might try Freegle or they might just have to go to the tip in the metal recycling.

That’s some more ‘stuff’ gone, still got some big items to list on Freegle, and want to try and declutter craft room a bit for stuff to put on Ebay. Hubby’s getting worried now, says he’s due to be decluttered on 6th February at this rate!:rotfl:
