Need to catch up again!
Today I had a look in the cutlery drawer and fished out 24 measuring spoons (most of which had come out of Christmas crackers) and 6 bottle openers (ditto). Will sort these and decide how many I really need.
Out : another bag of rubbish.
In: groceries - On the plus side I haven't bought anything that wasn't food for ages.
Need to get going again - tomorrow is the cupboard under the sink and the shoe rack.August Shopping Challenge. 26/8. Budget £250 Spent £256.81.. £6.81 over. So £0.00 a day left.0 -

Oh that dreaded cupboard under the sink - apart from other stuff, mine is full of carrier bags - DH often stops at the shop on his way home and brings back new carrier bags  I can't seem to teach him about using some of the bags for life that we have also stashed in there. I will get round to sorting that cupboard out at some point as it annoys me every time I have to go in it to get something

Well the bin still hasn't been emptied!
I'm not going to let it stop me! Slow me down but not stop me!:D
Out 3 bras and 1 pair knickers to rubbish, old didn't fit should have gone long ago.
In ideas about how to reorganise remaining belongings after declutter
I will be MIA from lunchtime tomorrow until at least Monday eve, I'm off to spend a rare weekend with my, brother, sister, nieces etc.
Keep up the good work.
Best wishes Empty0 -
After finding this challenge last night I've been raring to start decluttering but I've been at work all day . However, managed to avoid Charity Shops at lunchtime which is quite an achievement for me.
IN - 2 spanking new pillows (much needed)
OUT - Recycling
Composting
2 very worn out old pillows
Day off tomorrow so hoping to start making some headway ...Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

Yay, I did my bathroom cabinet today. Might not sound like much but it's a built in job, the size of a large kitchen cabinet and was stuffed to the gills. Got rid of a large carrier bag of rubbish and a pile of recycling (both still technically pending as bins still haven't been emptied). Remainder is tidy so I can now see what we have, such as 8 bottles of shower gel...
Wouldn't have bothered if it hadn't been for the motivation from this thread so Thankyou everyone!

Didn't get any decluttering done today as I woke up with a bad backache and it hasn't really gone all day. Did manage to get out and dispose of the old sewing machine, the box of toiletries for the homeless shelter, and 5 bags to Oxfam.
Was very good, didn't buy anything in Oxfam although I was tempted, but had hubby with me and his shopping tolerance level is about 5 minutes so didn't really have time for a good look round
Popped into Co-Op next door and bought a few things though.
Hoping to get more into decluttering tomorrow when I've got to stay in for a delivery.
IN: Shopping (loo rolls, DW tablets, Hot X Buns, wash up liquid, yogurts, fish sticks). 2 camera batteries that came in the post.
OUT: Sewing machine to tip, box of toiletries to friend who collects for homeless shelter, 5 bags to Oxfam, hubby's mobile (he dropped it at the tip! Luckily one of the workers picked it up and when hubby rang it, he answered!).
Pending IN: hubby's mobile back from the tip
Battery for laptop
Loads of papers from daughter for shreddingKeep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

2 jumpers (charity)
5 toiletries (mainly used and mainly binned packaging)
Plastic picnic cutlery (charity)
Large paper bag (bin)
Tasks still to do this month
clear bedroom floor (:Tnow down to 4 bags, am very tempted to move these to spare room to feel like I am getting somewhere but only if I get rid of some bags in there)
clear spare bedroom floor (of clutter and about 25 bags of stuff), re-establish as bedroom
Do all this for a reward to book a spa break!
Rooms are beginning to look better. :TDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

*Bin bag of rubbish from DDs room, finally! Not finished though, big box of papers and magazines to sort through yet.
*Took all out of date/useles notes and stuff off cork/pin board, now theres only 3 things pinned on it - space!
Pending out by post - guitar and some small parcels.
This weekend is de-clutter and ebay weekend, I plan to take advantage of free listing day, two DDs are staying at my mums, hubby away for the weekend, leaving just me and littlest who will be in bed by 6pm! Think I will stick to lots of small decluttering instead of planning something big and impossible. So lots of drawers and shelves should get sorted, lots of clothes to be ebayed, fingers crossed
Good luck to everyone else.''A moment's thinking is an hour in words.'' -Thomas Hood0 -
