    Morning all :j

Can I just say you are all doing really well but you all need to ditch the guilt! Decluttering is about getting it done at a pace to suit you - and there are still another 360 days to 2010 so we all have lots of time to do it in :D

I had a quiet day today after the manic panic of the last couple of days.

    IN:
    Junk mail
    Maglite torches from Asda
half price wrapping paper and cards
    New Ironing board cover

    OUT:
    Torches put in cars
Ironing board cover - not big enough!
    Junk mail in shredder
Paperwork of pin board that was out of date
All original freecycle stuff picked up - awaiting second wave now

Mr K did the ironing for me - it was a mountain bless him ;) so now the spare room looks a little less of a tip!

    Pending out
    Ebay packages
Sorted through the wardrobe again and found some more stuff to put on ebay (will need an ebay week at this rate lol)

I did more than I thought when I look at it - with any luck the bins may be emptied today, our recycling bins have not been emptied for 4 weeks now  although the weather was better last time and they gave up after an hour of collection so we will just have to see............

Kids are back to school today - well maybe, we shall see if the schools close due to the weather  but have to go into town so not sure as to how much I will really get done, but as long as its something every day then I feel that I will get there - even if its eventually!

1 mobile phone statement (for £0.... don't know why they waste the paper!)

If your bills are regularly for £0 or your happy to look at your bill online give them a call all the mobile operators offer paperless billing these days and in some cases it can save you an extra £1 on your line rental

Well OH was off at 5.30- the snow came down so heavy here I couldn't get DD to my mums so I had to call a holiday day in at work. Am going to wear DD out in the garden building a snowman and hopefully get her to sleep ready for a couple of bags of decluttering!
Our bins didn't get emptied today and it is FULL so think I will go for a papery drawer so they can go in our blue bin instead! Feel like some shredding!

    Bake Off Boss!
    Hi Everyone

I have just finished reading this thread all the way through & it is inspiring to know that I am not alone with all the clutter I have collected.

I had already vowed that 2010 would be the year I get a grip.

Although I am good at recyling junk mail & other paper as it appears in the house I find it extremely difficult to part with books (would have to live to be 100 to read all of my collection!) & items which might come in 'handy'.

I have made a start by getting rid of some books & old paperwork & underwear but really need to tackle my second bedroom as it has a bed etc in it but nobody can get in there to use it.

I have also vowed to use up all my toiletries, cleaning products & most of my freezer contents & tin cupboard before buying more. Hope to only buy essentials like milk, fruit/veg & bread (though have a breadmaker which I should use more.)

    Good Luck everyone
