Hey MM how about leaving them outside in the morning with a sign saying "FREE". This works a lot for me. Maybe worth a try to avoid them going to landfill.

In = Lidl shopping (will be eaten as quickly as it's unpacked)

Out = 3 dried up pens from the kitchen drawer (only about 8 items overall gone today, I'm slowing down so need to look under the sink cupboard, I may be some time).

Talking of kitchen drawers, this is really funny:

  • Bit slower today in finding my 10 items as we were babysitting our grandson, who arrived just before 8, had to take him to the doctor just before lunch, rush back to give him his lunch, then out again to the hospital for his music group. So not really much time to have a good sort out today.

    IN:
1 item junk mail (which went straight in the bin)
1 mobile phone statement (for £0.... don't know why they waste the paper!)
1 pack 6 tomatoes give to me by my daughter.

    OUT:
4 plastic pots and a plastic box. Lurking in a cupboard, I have loads of these to put the baby’s food in so could afford to lose these. Going to charity shop.

2 t-shirts and a baby vest that were far too small. I was keeping these for spares but he’s outgrown them. Going to charity shop.

A tin of spaghetti that got ‘lost’at the back of the fridge...hidden by Christmassy stuff and had mould on the top. This will have to be put in the food digester.

An England pencil tin. I got it at a jumble sale for 20p, with a ruler and rubber and pencil inside. Only wanted the contents, so I’ll give this to the charity shop.

A pretty pink net-type bag, with a broken zip. Had to landfill this.

A selection of used greetings cards that I no longer want. Put in recycling bag.

A luggage label of my mum’s, from when she went on holiday in April last year! Shreddedf.

Some sleeping tablets that I no longer need. Going back to the pharmacy at the doctors.

A wooden nail/vegetable brush from the kitchen. The bristles were horrible and it has seen better days. This went in the rubbish and I replaced it with one of the 5 spare ones I've got!

2 baby feeding cups. I keep buying these when I go to Poundland and as I had about 7 of them, I said bye bye to these 2 and kept the rest.

That’s today’s selection. Hopefully I can get on to the big stuff soon!

Feel really bad that I haven't decluttered anything today - I just don't know where the time has gone - but at least nothing came into the house.

Well done everyone for what you got done today. Will try to be more organised tomorrow. Off to the land of nod as was of my aims was to try and get to bed before 11 each night to try and get some routine going- doh! Another fail! Must try harder...
