OOh dear more in that out today, must try harder tomorrow, but I didn't spend any money, so that must count for something.
IN:
- 3 scarves from MIL to older daughter
- bag of xmas decs for next year (this year)
- 2 cardigans from MIL
- DVD I ordered for DD2 for xmas!!! Put away for this year
OUT:
- loads of rubbish (rubbish day today)0 -
Evening All
Well snow has arrived thick and fast here in Lincolnshire today - DS1 was sent home early on the bus but I cant see either of them going to school tomorrow! Its still snowing now and has been most of the day.
More organising things than decluttering things today I am afraid so I think I may have more in than out!
In:
Mounts for pictures (frames are currently sitting in the hall)
New roasting dish (I discovered the other one was really past it yesterday!)
New cardigan (I threw 3 out yesterday though!)
Bodyshop order
Boots advantage card flier (we like those)
New dog collar
Out:
Christmas cards to the recycling
Christmas tree down and put on the compost heap
Dog harness returned (exchanged for dog collar)
Another bag of recycling - I swear it breeds when I am not looking and the bins STILL havent been emptied!
Ironing board cover back to Argos - looks like I will have to get that online too
Went to Staples today to buy one of those really useful boxes for wrapping paper only to be told by the most exceedingly unhelpful SA in the world that they dont do that particular box and havent for about 2 years - I will have to look online! So anyone got a good place to get them from? All help appreciated!Free/impartial debt advice: Consumer Credit Counselling Service (CCCS) | National Debtline | Find your local CAB0 -
Unexpected day off work due to snow/bad roads, but didn't get much decluttering done (mainly because I went sledging/snowball fighting this afternoon and have been lazy since I got back!) I did manage to pack away the christmas tree this morning, but that's been about it!
In
Toilet rolls and milk - absolutely essential kit in case of further snow!
Out
Two broken egg cups
Christmas cards into recycling
Pending Out
Into charity bag - two small torches (never been used as they take weird size batteries that I don't buy!) and small box of baubles (have too many for size of christmas tree, so thought I'd get rid of the ones I don't like.)0 -
If your bills are regularly for £0 or your happy to look at your bill online give them a call all the mobile operators offer paperless billing these days and in some cases it can save you an extra £1 on your line rental
thanks for that... it's hubby's mobile and I thought he'd opted for paperless bills.... our landline bill is paperless.... have to get him to check...Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

So wish I got one a couple of years ago when I saw them... haven't seen them since!
So if you or anyone does manage to find them please let me know!Trying to make a better life.... If you need me you'll find me at the allotment.0 -
Ventured out to local shopping centre today, first 'shopping' day this year. Could only find one thing that I wanted to part with money for.... that's a first for me - going shopping and only spending £1.!!!
IN:
Golfer's set from M&S, reduced from £9.50 to £1.
Hubby went to supermarket because we needed some veg: broccoli, brussels, cabbage and bread. Also some eggs from a local egg farm.
The rest of my printer inks I ordered last week.
OUT:
Two maps of New England that are out of date now. In the paper recycling.
A Spanish grammar book. Got rid of the other Spanish books in the summer. This will go to the charity shop.
A pink car tax disc holder. I had this in my car but it kept falling off. Putting in the charity bag.
4 file folders full of info from an OU course I did in 2004. I kept these in the loft for a few years, then got them out last summer. Despite numerous appearances on Freecycle they’re still here, so I’m recycling the paper and will offer the empty files on Freecycle.
A Skype telephone that came from somewhere, hubby probably. Put this in the charity bag.
2 novelty notepads. We’ve got paper coming out of our ears in this house so I can lose these 2. Gone in the charity shop bag.
Various DVDs that were given away free in newspapers. We’ve either watched them or are not interested in them, so they’ve gone in the charity bag too.
A fold up ruler. No idea where this came from or why we’ve got it, because it’s not accurate! Gone in the charity shop bag.
A pack of file dividers for folders. Hubby got these from work but never used them, so they’ve gone in the charity shop bag too.
A disposable camera, with a ‘develop by’ date of June 2005! This has had to go in the bin.
Another 10 or so things gone from the house forever!

InNothing . . . yet. Am desperately trying to keep myself from buying THIS. Willpower is waning........
K, that is very sweet. Maybe do yourself a deal to get rid of something in the kitchen which takes up that same amount of space? Maybe an old jar, or gadget that isn't used that a friend might like?
In = feeling poorly (yuck), a thank you card and a magazine
Out =
9 toiletries/make-up mainly things I've started and not finished until now (7 used up then recycled and 2 used up/binned)
Set of thank you cards (written all but one of these up to send to friends thanking for xmas pressies).
Keep up the good work everyone. :TDeclutter 300 things in December challenge, 9/300. Clear the living room. Re-organize storage

Ok, done a little bit of cluttering and DH has done a bit of decluttering, so that's a balance of sorts
In: Post, food shopping and 1 fleece for DH
Out: some lightbulbs, all the recycling went in the bin and another cookbook.
Getting there, slowly but surely! I think that some of my decluttering has been mental over the last day or so.
