Oooh, is it good ? I can knit, but can't follow a crochet pattern, and I am soooo tempted to buy it

It's absolutely basic, which is great for me. I've tried learning before, but my mum has no patience with me whatsoever. The patterns do look like they will be pretty good. I nearly had to handbag off another lady in the shop who also wanted it - fortunately there were two copies left and we had a good laugh about it at the tills!

New IN: Husband and about a cubic foot of snow off his clothes.

It's been throwing down snow here for the past hour or so and I'm going to give up on the night, off to fill hot water bottles for me and DH. Hope the weather is being kinder to most!

Well done everyone for keeping at it.

Didn't do as well today as I had hoped but house is looking better even so. I had the afternoon off to tidy and clean and then the snows came and so did the children back from school - so that idea went out of the window.

Still- I got them trying to take the tree down and nearly caused ww3. Anyway

IN- only food that OH bought
oh yes - and a sledge

OUT-to the loft - all the Christmas Decorations and Tree
    - all the recycling in the kitchen out to the boxes in the garden (garden is looking lovely with all the mess and tat hidden under a blanket of lovely white snow.

Doesn't seem much but I got more done in the house than I normally manage to do - the living rooms looks passable as does the kitchen - so I am going to claim today as a success.

Best Wishes Everyone - off to watch a bit a TV and try and declutter some of the catalogues/mags. Oh, and I must do the comps too - decluttering will have to wait!!!!

Well done everyone for all your efforts so far!

I am finding it harder than I thought mainly due to the outside bin overflowing and not going to be emptied anytime soon! I have taken small steps and cleaned my DD1's bookcase and a small box of odds and ends. Think it will be easier when I know the rubbish can leave the house. So...

    OUT
    Nothing (hangs head in shame)

    IN
Christmas cards, wrapping paper and crackers (all bargains for next Xmas)
    Slippers and tights for DD1
    Food shopping

    PENDING
1 bag for charity shop (must remember to take tomorrow!)

Bin was supposed to be emptied today but no binmen due to snow, it's really overflowing so don't want to add to much (that'smy excuse anyway) we only have fortnightly collections so hope it's not got to wait 2 weeks!

Did manage to tidy/declutter 2 drawers in kitchen and chucked out some empty wrappers and found some bibs to pass on (friend has just had baby), listed some outgrown baby clothes, storage canisters and a little ice bucket on freecycle, so they should be gone in a day or so. Still not given back DD's shoes from NOV!!! They have now made it into a bag on the landing, instead of my bedroom (working their way out slowly, lol)

Went to Staples today to buy one of those really useful boxes for wrapping paper only to be told by the most exceedingly unhelpful SA in the world that they dont do that particular box and havent for about 2 years - I will have to look online! So anyone got a good place to get them from? All help appreciated!

**Cleared out old receipts drawer keeping only most recent and shredded the rest (very zen like experience :o)
**Two bags of rubbish from the "catch-all" cupboard

Nothing . . . yet. Am desperately trying to keep myself from buying THIS. Willpower is waning........

Eggs should be kept in the fridge after purchase.
So this would not be seen and take up too much room in the fridge.
And if you think it would look nice just sitting on your work top,its just another thing to wash/dust.
    Problem solved.
