So far we've managed to get rid of quite a bit by doing car boots, we've also taken down a partition wall between our boys rooms & it's decluttered the room no end!!;)"There's a little witch in all of us"🔮🪬🧿DEBT FREE 06/2018Mrs SD’s Decluttering 2025 ⭐️ 🥇🥇🥇0

DS (aged 7) has decided we are counting & listing all the recycling & decluttering we are doing through the school holidays - so who am I to argue? :rotfl:
1. 116 childrens books to charity shop
2. 13 past it books to paper recycling
3. 1 large plastic box full of paper to recycling
4. 46 plastic bottles to recycling
5. 13 pieces of wood to recycling
6. 1 bag of torn carriers to recycling
7. 2 green garden recycling bags (full to overflowing) for pickup today
Actually looking at it that way - that's a lot for one morning...right its lunchtime, and then we'll do some more....
Moam, and assistant :wave:Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

That's an awesome amount of books, not only to have but to de-clutter when you're 7. Well Done
Today I have compiled a shoe and clothes inventory and worked out how many of each item I should have as a max.
11 pairs of shoes - 7 of those are boots of varying shapes and sizes!
All unnecessary clothes shall be put in the carboot box, the date for which has now been set. 2 friends and I had a meet up down the pub and forged our battle plans for dates, times and de-cluttering tactics (2 weekends time as it happens!)
I also seem to find that I leave things to de-clutter until CB becomes imminent I take more with me, because as i'm packing it away I get all sentimental , whereas the night before i'm like "Carboot tomorrow, into the box you go" panic-rush-panic lolAll that is gold does not glitter
All those who wander are not lost

mineallmine - thanks for the tip on getting rid of old clothes when buying new. I won't be throwing anything this time because I had already been through the wardrobe and drawers before going shopping so I knew what I needed and only bought on need rather than impulse wants. I still need undies and a new swimming costume plus smarter warm things for the winter such as a good cardigan and pullover.
Working through my paperwork mountain is slow and there are only 3 more things to add to my total which is now 30. General total is unchanged at 34. So 2 and a bit more days to go and 36 more items to get rid of!Decluttering Awards: 🏅🏅0
