I am currently off sick from work:( and am beginning to get restless. I am unable to get out and work in the garden, so need a task indoors that will keep me occupied and this seems perfect.
Do I have to declare a total that I want to bin/recycle, or just post the ins & outs daily? Or do I make it up as I go along?
    Thanks :D

If I remember to add to the thread I just post what I do daily. I haven't done any decluttering for aaages though, just general stuff!

Welcome Liberty9515, no strict rules here. I personally dont post coming in anymore, as there usually isnt much (except for a handbag today, cough, moving on..). Just do what you can. It helps to do the stuff that's really bugging you. Then you get the most satisfaction from sorting it.
Also this decluttering lark can be handy I found some money in a birthday card I had forgotten about!

I've not been able to do much for a while but have had another go at my desk today and 7 things have been dealt with.

My totals are now 51 from the paperwork mountain and 55 general. Still a long way to go to reach my target of 100 of each by the end of June, particularly as I am going away on Thursday and won't be back until the following Wednesday which is the last day of the month - eek!

I need to get back on with decluttering.. there are a few rooms now that are looking so much better :D.. I am still waitin gon my sister to pick up a chest of drawers and a shelf unit she said she wanted.. if she doesn't come this week I am flinging them I just decided.

I want to get some stuff reshuffled in my room too so the furniture we are keeping can be better organised.

I am also off to Ikea for some chests of drawers for the boys this week or next week depending on how I feel and how much money I have available (waiting on maternity grants).. I may pick up a highchair for the baby too..

the last pile that was chucked out the front has almost gone though.. sneaked in the wheelie bins over the last few weeks!

I did find another binbag that is needing to be dumped at charity shop though.. I sold 4 items on ebeast and I have another item to post to a fellow flinger! things are still moving but at a much more sedate pace!

Oooh, can I join?! We're moving from a rented quite big house, to buying our own little house, so desperatly need to declutter!

    So, this weekend...

    In...
Groceries for Guide camp, cluttering up the lounge (but will be gone next weekend)

    Out...
    Recycling - paper, glass, plastic
Piles of what could have been filing but was just paper

Hello Georgina! So, today's decluttering haul is:
    - an hour's work in the garden decluttering the weeds :D
    - mashed up a log basket that was full of woodworm, into the bin, and swept the driveway as a result _pale_

    Pending out:
    - found 14 CDs to be sent away to music magpie - £13.33 result :D
    - 4 x CD holders that collect dust really badly.
    - 7 books to a charity shop.

    100. Unloved picture (charity)

Decluttered total of 100 things in June so far, with around 41 binned, rest recycled/charity. :T

Setting myself a target of decluttering all bedroom surfaces (windowsill, chest of drawers) by the end of tomorrow. There just seems to be clothes and "stuff" everywhere on these.

    101. Toiletries (again part of that challenge, and using up every last drop of stuff and not opening 10 different bottles :o) (recycling)
    102. Magazine (friend)

Sorted bedroom window sills, now look much better. Just need to do the chest of drawers this evening. may tackle the floors for gubbins tomorrow.

So 102 things decluttered in June, only 41 binned, rest charity etc.

Out: Ebay sale collected by buyer on Friday, old CD storage rack, 2 DVD storage racks, toiletry gift set, a ring binder with A4 pad inside and a computer disc taken to my son's flat yesterday, telephone seat/cupboard with dodgy leg in DPs car to be taken to the dump tomorrow, deodorant can emptied and recycled, cardboard packaging recycled, bottle of wine and father's day card taken to dad's.

Pending out: 2 Ebay sales to be posted on Tuesday.

Also moved a table from the lounge to the hall, to replace telephone seat, which freed up some space to put one of my new CD racks, which have been stored in DS's bedroom (aka pending room/dumping ground since he moved out, lol!), CDs from old rack taken off table and put on new rack, looks much tidier in that corner now, and just have to sort a space for the other CD rack.

In: New carpet for hall, landing and stairs - looks and feels very nice, and so much better than bare floors!

    Sue.
