Sorry to hear that Purplevamp - but not too surprising given the problem with your neighbours - it would have that effect on anyone. Paul McKenna does an amazing relaxation CD - I've never found one that works before but this knocks me out. Not the answer to your problems but maybe a way to help a little bit. I'm sure your baking must be very good for your mental health too. Take Care. xHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

I made a chocolate cake today with a secret ingredient...beetroot!! I didn't tell the children until after they'd eaten it all up! They loved it, but it's really rich and chocolately!
((hugs)) purplevamp. I did wonder if the headaches and pain could be a stress/ tension thing - I used to see a lot when I did clinical therapeutic massages. R&R time may help, as can booking something like a decent massage (not an airy fairy one!) - will destress teh muscles and relax you and make you feel better. Or whatever works for you. A long soak in a bath with a book and a drink of choice and no interruptions is also good!
I make beetroot choc cake - yummy. I also make courgette choc cake - the courgettes make it lovely and moist and help use up the blighters from the inevitablr glut in the summer! Butternut squash muffins are yummy too - a bit like carrot cake. Pending: Third sale on Ebay ready to be posted once paid for, £40 in coins to go in the bank later in the week (might have to make 2 trips as very heavy, lol!).

Oh I've been really bad this week. Not managed anything for ages
...... oh well.
DH pulled down another wall in my bedroom last night before I came to work . So that will have to go to the tip this weekend. We've got another couple of walls to tear down then we can rebuild. So we'll soon have a bedroom and the house won't get quite so dirty.
Hope you are soon feeling better purplevamp.
I love chocolate beetroot cake. I have also made the courgette cake (with the summer glut!). Another nice one is parsnip cake made using the carrot cake recipe. You can use beetroot for this too but it bleeds into the mixture so if your [STRIKE]guinea pigs[/STRIKE] loved ones aren't keen on beetroot, they will know :rotfl:!
Tomorrow is my last of 6 nightsso I'll be having a busy weekend and a busy Friday. Sadly I'm working an early on Monday so won't have the luxury of getting the house blitzed while everyones at school/work. Never mind, I'll start on Monday afternoon and finish on Tuesday morning.

Boy, have I had a good de-cluttering day, lol, very pleased with myself!:D
Out: Three carrier bags of paper (including 2 of shredded paper), and a large cat food box emptied and put out for recycling, three large boxes of VHS videos, including 58 used blank tapes, a video storage cabinet and a video storage case, taken via Freecycle. Also cleared a huge pile of ironing, and used up some vegetables to make a casserole!
Pending: A few more items listed on Freecycle, 1 claimed and awaiting collection, and some old envelopes to be taken into work tomorrow to be used for internal mail.
In: Nothing but a few workmen and they left again, lol!

Hi everyone,
I haven't posted on here for a while but have continued to lurk!
Had a good sort out yesterday and plan to have another go this afternoon unless it warms up alot and then I'll have to declutter the garden!
In:
Cycling shorts, Bicycle computer, Bicycle pump
Out:
Long sleeve top, jumper, draw dividers, 2 books, note-let set, candle set all into charity bag to be collected this morning.
I've also found the time to darn some woollen socks for my OH, sew on several buttons so we can wear the garments again and have good use up in the kitchen cupboards which has resulted in a few cakes and strange tea combinations! :rotfl:
Advertised a few household items in the local co-op, placed an advert on gumtree and put about 20 books on green metropolis although I've not heard a peep from this source yet!
I want to go through my summer clothes in the next couple of days to see what I've got and what I can get rid of / mend / wear with what so that will be another good job done.
Right I'm going to take my bike out for a spin now and will report back later with an update.
Enjoy the sunshine0 -
Good Morning All.
Not posted much lately - been busy and away on holiday! But now I am back and into 'normal' life again I really need to get busy decluttering again. Car boot weather should be here soon!!!!! So need to get OH up in the loft and get started on all those boxes of stuff that never sees daylight!!!
Recycled and/or binned all the mail that accumulates when you go away! I am clearing out the fridge and using up contents together with freezer contents so I can save a bit of money after the holiday spend fest!!(It was worth it though!!) Back to egg and chips and beans on toast!!!
Anyway I'm not getting much done while I'm on here so Off I Go! Happy Decluttering!Sealed Pot Challenge 2013 Member No 689 - £120/£300
