Not managed much this week as a busy week at work.

    In:

New handbag for work, body lotion reduced to £2.50, Sexy Darling to match perfume I already have, 2 birthday cards

    Out:

Old work handbag but managed to salvage from it a silver charm and a black leather look charm and have added these to another handbag which I'd got which has given it a new lease of life.

One birthday card put on one side to take to work tomorrow.

A broken ornament (one piece had broken off and been glued back on but this had come off again along with another piece)

    Newspapers for recycling

    In

    Three tins of paint
    Mini paint roller and tray
    Exercise DVD
Two dresses, two belts and a cardigan from my sister

    Out

Two magazines taken to work for staff room
Old moisturiser and eye pads from bathroom thrown away, pots recycled
OH sorted through a box that he bought back from his Mum's house. He produced a carrier bag of recycling, a small box of rubbish and has burnt all the old 'sensitive' paperwork. He has however left bits and pieces that he 'doesn't know what to do with' lying around in the living room. I know exactly what to do with them and will do so if they aren't moved soon!

    Pending Out

Two pairs of shorts, pair of jeans and two bras into charity bag

Hi All - This week has just flown by & I've not decluttered at all - I've just about managed to keep the place vaguely tidy (at least the bits that visitors can see - my bedroom is a disgrace).

I've been toying with the idea of moving because of secondary schools for DS but have now made a firm decision not to go down this route so will be staying put. I've also decided that I won't be going on a summer holiday abroad this year (normally an absolute priority for me as I'm a complete sunworshipper) & will spend the money on getting things done around the house instead - I've never prioritised house above holiday before. DS will be going away with his Dad in the summer so at least he won't miss out.

    Anyway, this week's update...

    IN
3 x New cushions to brighten up sofa
Lovely new scarf which would look so nice with the tan I won't be getting this year.....:( (I don't think I've completely come to terms with my "no-holiday" decision yet)
Fleece for DS - all courtesy of TKMAXX
Summer shirt for DS - CS
    OUT
    Only general rubbish & recycling

Have a good week everyone :)

Hi MsH. That's a brave decision. I'd prepare the garden for summer (or stuff to take to a park or the beach if nearish). Top up the tan (safely) at home this year - you could invite some friends over. Or get some novels cheap from a charity shop (or the library) and a nice sun hat.

    Out:
binned some election leaflets, keep finding them (as I did try to read some of them) (recycled)
dishwasher cleaner run through the machine instead of sitting on worksurface (recycled)

Not much. :( Off to enjoy the last bit of sunshine of the day.

Mineallmine - Thanks for your ideas - they're really helpful & have made me feel a lot more positive about my decision - a big part of my holiday is catching up with my novel reading anyway. I've always relied on the June holiday to "set me up" for Summer & was at a loss for some other way of doing it. Think I'll take a week off work in June & have my "holiday at home" - then try to build in "Summery" activities to my normal routine. Of course if the weather is bad I may need to be "talked down from the ledge"...

Today has been quiet, although I've got the week off work (went to the docs on Friday and the headaches are caused by tension and stress and she said I've got mild depression :(. I have to go back in 2 weeks to see how I'm doing)

    Anyway, on a positive note:-

    In

    Out

DH and I went to the Moscow State Circus tonight as we were given free tickets, it was really good, and luckily only 1 clown . It was mainly acrobatics but they are so strong and fit. And bendy!!

I made a chocolate cake today with a secret ingredient...beetroot!! I didn't tell the children until after they'd eaten it all up! They loved it, but it's really rich and chocolately!
