    Morning all,

Got rid of some more stuff. These are bits coming from the garage and all sorts of places:

    2 x novels (charity)
    1 x pc bits (freecycle)
    1 x house stuff (charity)
5 x cds, sunday paper ones (charity)
    1 x stationery bits (charity)
2 x lots of cat food (local cat rescue)

    So that's another 12 bits gone! :T

Not been on for a few days but I can tell you that the cats have gone! What a relief. Along with them has gone two litter trays, a box of toys, a large scratching post thing, all the food and litter and lots of hair!! I have decided that I don't want a cat!

Also out - keyboard (collected by freecycler), usual re-cycling stuff, last of the woodpile from the garage (burned in fire) and yesterday 5 loads of washing on line.

In - DS2 for weekend, food shopping and yesterday dry washing in (ironed and put away too!).

Off to tackle some drawers in the garage.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

Haven't got rid of a lot today, but what has gone has made my tiny spare/computer room look a lot better! Here's what's in/out since yesterday.

In: grocery shopping. Other shopping including a box to sort my herbs and spices (I actually bought a litter tray as it was the perfect size!) A set of recycling bags to try and make an effort - especially with paper. Folders to sort paperwork out. A pillow. Various other bits which I needed.

    Out:
    13) A media/shelving unit - I tried selling it, someone was interested, but then didn't reply. I don't have the space to keep things so let them know they could have it if still interested, so they collected this morning. Better off being used by someone I suppose.
    14) 1 drawer from old chest of drawers
    15) 1 x bag of coat hangers
    16) 2 x bags of carrier bags/storage bags
    17) Some pieces of wood from the packaging from my new chest of drawers
    18) 2 x bags of 'bits' - were to be car booted, but not enough stuff and they've been sat around for around a year unused
    19) Bag of polystyrene
    20) Fan heater - worked, but hadn't been used for over a year and very dusty, so wouldn't feel comfortable selling it/giving it away in case it set alight!
    21) An empty poster tube - athough I have a feeling I may have missed it and it might still be in the boot of my car!

Going to wort through my piles of paperwork this afternoon, I have all my payslips etc. in a box, but want to sort them properly and then forget about them.

    Evening everyone,
Hey mrs-moneypenny I wonder if you could use that big yankee candle glass jar to save coins in? I have an old jam jar that I use. If not, recycling is the way to go.

Haven't sorted anything else. Am far too tired. But I can see things are making a difference. There's still too much stuff but I'm making headway.

Think I need to sort the airing cupboard out and sort bedding. I have lots of sets but favourites I use time and time again. And others which seem to spend their live in the washing pile.

    Happy Easter Everyone - :easter_ba:easter_ba:easter_ba

Today is my BIG de-cluttering day of the weekend - 25 items today!!!

Before I start - a catch up of the week so far:

    IN
Bundle of stuff from friend to sell on Ebay for her
2 X top, skirt, poncho & bag from same friend for me :)
DS Game for DS - Easter gift from kind "Nanny"
    OUT
    Birthday gift to Aunt
    Easter gift to "Nanny"
Gift to School Mum moving out of area
Hair straighteners & scarf to friend

"Nanny" is actually my cousin who is 25 years older than me & who has kindly stepped into the role of "Nanny" for my DS as he only has a Grand-Dad left (my ex husband's dad) who lives quite far away. We're so lucky we've got her :A

OK - off to declutter - will report back later whilst eating my "reward" creme egg :EasterBun

  • Right I'm coming in a bit late, have been perusing thread and am fired up ! I have to do something about the hundreds of hidy holes for stuff this house has.

Made a start yesterday, 12 things out, 4 on ebay/amazon.
My mission is at lease 10 things a day, that's a whopping 300 a month.

    Wish me luck !

    Game on..

    Go for it MsHalffull!

You're clearly a baker purplevamp. Any chance of a piccie of cake, think it was you who did those lush cupcakes.

Although I've been decluttering, I've not done much tidying. So need to get the hoover out today. And attack the washing pile.

Off to write a to do list. Happy decluttering everyone! :T
