For today
IN
Hairbrush
OUT
Present for friend's son
DVD to friend
Bins emptied ready for my 25 items in a day challenge on Sunday. Mind you I'm visiting a friend on Saturday who I know will be giving me lots of stuff to take home (mixture of things for me & stuff to sell on Ebay for her) - so if this weekend ends up being "clutter neutral" then I will feel as though I've have achieved something...
Foxy-tigger - thanks for info about the book swap web-site - not heard of it before - I can't wait to give it a go...Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

Good Morning All.
Not posted for awhile - lost my way somewhere back there!! Decluttering ground to a halt and just couldn't be bothered for awhile!! But I'm off work for two weeks now to use up my holidays so I'm back to the challenge! I decided to sort out all the car boot stuff that has been in the garage for months starting with the two big trays of books!
They looked a bit the worse for wear so I offered them on Freecycle as they hadn't sold last year! Got rid of about 30 books altogether so took the rest - about 40 books - to CS yesterday. So I've almost done the 100 challenge in one clearout. Just got about 10 more boxes and bags to go through now so that's the challenge for today.
This declutttering is definitely infectious - DD1 informed me last night that she has sorted out all her toiletries and make up and there is a pile for me and DD2 to go through them put the rest on ebay!! Success at last - now she needs to start on the three wardrobes and two suitcases of clothes next!! I can but dream!!!! I just hope there are some size 14s I can pinch!!
Anyway this is not getting the sorting done so I will just say Good Luck everyone and Happy Easter.

Hi all de-clutterbugs!:T
The best thing I'm finding about de-cluttering is that I find things I didn't know I had and would have bought all over again, so it's a great money saver. I've also had a good look at what bits I can salvage from the things that are going in the bin - everything from the plugs off broken electrical goods to the buttons and zips off old clothes.
Oddest find so far was an old toffee tin full of furniture castors (ers?) in my inherited shed. Maybe I could make my own shopping trolley!:rotfl:0 -
Out: 1 bag of rubbish, 1 book to Greenmetropolis customer.
In: Groceries, 1 letter and some clothes.
Pending out: Some of the groceries and clothes to a friend.0
