    Happy Birthday Greent!

Emptynester - how good is a bonfire?! I love to have a tidy up in the garden and get rid of all the personal stuff. We only have one neighbour who doesn't put washing out so it's a regular thing for me!

Anyway, de-cluttered another bit of the garden but bins full now so will have to bag up stuff to take to tip tomorrow.

    Good luck all.

Morning all. I think i am going to have to start my next 10 days on tuesday :( Was hoping to crack on this weekend but i have been really poorly. Also my daughter who put the bead in her ear also got spray in her eye and seems pretty poorly with it! :( They gave me cream to put in her eye which is a bit difficult but said it didn't look infected. Though she keeps getting a fever and will hardly eat anything :-(

    Morning all!!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! I had a totally lovely birthday! :D:D

Littlekel, hope your daughter gets better soon ((hugs))

granmadelighted - I have 2 or 3 sets of bedding for each person in this house (6 of us, 5 beds) I'd suggest 3 for your bed and a couple of spare sets if you have spare beds. Any more can go! Towels - work oin the 'would you be happy for a guest to use this?' - if not, get rid - animal charities/ vets are always after towels - as are homeless charities. We have LOTS of towels here - but I used to do massage :D And don't have too many hand towels - I think these can breed......

    Anyway, quick update:

    IN:
    new jeans for DD
new fleece and raincoat for DS1
new jeans for DS1 (may return these)
perfume and bubble bath for m-i-l bday present
2 new sets of underwear for me :D
about 10 books split between DD, DS1 & DS2 (they bought them)
set of pokemon cards (DS1 bought)

lots of birthday cards for me!
    2 bouquets of flowers
    a new eternity ring
Hotel chocolat chocs (from my kids)
2 other boxes of chocs (these will be recycled for pressies - I don't like the one and the other is yummy, but I need to shift some weight)
    2 birthday cakes!!
    2 necklaces
    a bottle of wine
a scented candle (this will be recycled as a pressie - lovely, but too strong in scent for me)
    a lavender tree
    garden centre vouchers
    a game
    money
    a Radley purse
    a CD
    a boxed set of chutnies
    a book
a box of mini toblerones - yum!

debtdesperado - as you can see from the above, I recycle presents. I think there is nothing wrong with it, as long as you are organised and careful! The rest of my presnts are lovely and 'keepers' (or eaters!)

    OUT:
    wrapping/ envelopes - recycled
    unused earplugs to my mum
    book to my mum
2 hotbrush gas cannister things to my mum
    broken pot - bin
lots of redundant paperwork - bin
2 premium bond cheques banked (finally!)
    old photo frame
various items relocated to proper homes around the house
SW & WW stuff from years ago
    4 old manky coasters

Littlekel, hope your daughter feels better soon .

Found quite a bit of stuff yesterday when OH was away, and not there to question everything I sorted out! So, to continue.....

    34) 2 bottles of out of date sparkling water. One was 2001 the other 2003 and they had both lost their fizz. Going to put the water in the water butt and recycle the bottles.

    35) Birthday card book, the type you put birthday cards in under the appropriate months so you don't forget. Personally it's not big enough for me so I might as well lose it. Going to a Freegler.

    36) Another china milk jug - we don't use these and have got a glass one if we ever did. In the Oxfam bag.

    37) A load of glass pebbles from a vase. I've had these for a few years now so it's time to lose them. Offered on Freegle, no takers yet. If no one wants them I'll put them in the Oxfam bag.

    38) 2 tubs of tea. One is green tea, the other vanilla flavoured Earl Grey, both out of date and both of which I don't like. Put the teabags in the compost bin and recycled the containers.

    39) Long plastic box with handle. From my crafting - have downsized so don't need this any more. It's got a crack and split in it anyway, so I'll fill it with more craft stuff and offer it on Freegle.

    40) An empty box I was keeping in case it was useful. Gone in the recycling bag.

    41) A porcelain dish with lid. Very pretty but totally useless to me. Put in the charity bag.

    42) Some fruit that is past its best. The lemon and limes I bought before Christmas so they're really hard now, also the kiwi fruit are wrinkled and the satsumas have shrunk in the skins, so dried out. I put these in the compost bin.

    43) Some old parish magazines. We only keep the last 2 so these are older than that. In the recycling bag.

    44) A purple knitted top. I will never wear it, it's been on Ebay with no takers, so I gave it to my daughter.

    45) Serviettes. I must be realistic, we just don't use these, so I don't know why I keep on buying them!. If we need something like that we use kitchen towel. Going in the charity bag.

46). A used water filter cartridge. I took this out of the water filter and it's full of scale. I have seen a recycling facilty somewhere for them so it will go in that when I remember where it was!

    47) 2 plastic wallets from when I joined Slimming World. I will put these in the recycling bag.

Won't be doing much today as baby grandson is here, and we're taking him home in a little while, then going to a quilt show. So I will continue tomorrow....

    Hi

Hope you and your daughter get better soon.

Did a bit of shredding. Still wondering where all that paper comes from.
