    Hi
Haven't posted in ages but still been lurking and decluttering
Thanks for the tip, whoever it was who mentionied greentec, I had a psp which I used a few times, OH won't let me get rid of it as he says he wants it but theyr paying £45, will just get rid then take note of how long it takes for him to notice

Does anyone know where I can get rid of a broken netbook, ie for cash, without going to the hassle of listing on fleabay?
    Cheers in advance
    xxxx

That was me who mentioned greentec - sent my digital camera off to them on monday, will let you know how i get on, whether they pay out quickly & the price quoted. Does your PSP work? Would have thought you should be able to get more than £45 for it, i sold one on my work bulletin board for £75, with a few games. Might be worth a try if you dont want to bother with ebay, could always try free classified ads, or ad in your local supermarket. not sure about broken netbook i'd be surprised if there wasnt some place that recycles them online though, and pays out.

  • Hi,

I've been lurking for a while... I'm very bad when it comes to clutter. Everytime I upgrade any kind of electrical appliance, I keep the old one AND the box AND all cables for it... as if I'm ever going to need them.

I have four pairs of really old slippers that I can't seem to part with just because someone bought them for me... they have holey soles for god's sake. But I keep them because I feel guilty chucking them out! I also have boxes of broken jewellery - mostly costume stuff that I've never got round to fixing so should probably just dump

Surely I'm not the only person like this... :o Can someone knock some sense into me? I'm only in my 20s so god knows what I'll be like when I get to 50!

Hi CompletelyLost, NO you are not the only one like that! I am terrible for electric things too, especially hairdryers and straighteners and things, but I'm trying to change my habits! I'm 19, and desperate not to end up with a house full to bursting (like the house I grew up in!). Start small, and things will get easier, or at least I am hoping they will! Good luck!

I used £10.50 of luncheon vouchers from Pinecone towards them.

Thanks Tudor Rose, I have £6 of luncheon vouchers from Pinecone knocking around and wasn't sure whether they could be used against non-food stuff - now I can put then towards something useful. :T

    Pending out:

Dead washing machine - officially got pronounced beyond repair this afternoon. :(:(:(:(:( Not dealing with it very well - even after 4 slices of swiss roll

I really feel for you - I couldn't live without my washing machine - when my washing machine died I cried (well I was heavily pregnant at the time) - I think DH went out that very weekend and bought me a new one (hmm must try that again with something else :rotfl:)
    Hi,

I have four pairs of really old slippers that I can't seem to part with just because someone bought them for me... they have holey soles for god's sake. But I keep them because I feel guilty chucking them out! I also have boxes of broken jewellery - mostly costume stuff that I've never got round to fixing so should probably just dump

Right I will only say this once = ditch the slippers!!! If they are no longer useful get rid - you have loved them and used them to death, now it is time to let them go. The people who bought them for you will be happy that you got so much use out of them, but they wouldn't want your toes getting cold 'cause they are sticking out the end :rotfl:hth

I've not done much today, as have been volunteering at DD2 playgroup - hopefully will be back with a vengeance tomorrow - trying to resist going to Boots sale and spending money I ain't got!

You're not alone. I dunno why I've got so many usb cables and only one printer that needed a usb cable.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I did DS's bedroom yesterday (Tues) and it took me all day. It looks so much better now though. DH went mad when I showed him because I got rid of his action men. When DS got home from school I showed him his room. He was chuffed to bits and cleaned his window (by cleaned I obviously mean smeared!). He told me he doesn't like playing with toys, just making stuff. So he's happy with all his meccano, lego and transformers. When DH got home he said to DS "So you don't mind that Mummy got rid of all your stuff then?" and named some items- G1T! I wasn't going to tell him what had gone, he'll never know.

So, Out: 1 black sack charity toys. 1 ottoman. 1 sack shoes/ clothes. 2 black sacks rubbish. 3x 2.4m lengths of kitchen plinth (fitted 4 years after kitchen!). bags and bags of recycling. 7 large sweet tins washed and sent to school for when they do baking (not all from this year, some were toy storage!). Hall and stairs carpet.
In: Food shopping and a couple of newspapers.
A semi accoustic guitar that was ordered 25/11, order lost and vanished from website and credit card so ordered a different one. Now it's here  and damaged  and from Germany  with no returns info or invoice or anything  at £350 . (I'm waiting for them or Egg to contact me as I'm livid!).
A new dust pan and brush (I've worn out my other one!)
    Debt: 16/04/2007:TOTAL DEBT [strike]£92727.75[/strike] £49395.47:eek:   £43332.28 repaid 100.77% of £43000 target.
