Didn't get very much decluttering done at weekend - still stuck at the tidying stage. So since Saturday:
IN- A somewhat worn but completely sound Garden Bench discarded as rubbish (it had a "Please Take" sign on it so I definitely didn't accidentally remove street furniture...)
- A brand new "Burt's Bees" set from the charity shop - add to present stash
- Brand new T shirt for DS - Charity shop
OUT- Loads more recycling
- Thank you letters for Xmas Presents - DS did them over a week ago & it took me until today to post them
A pile of DVDs & Video games for Music Magpie
Half filled bag for charity shopHave nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.

Hi does anyone know what we can do with a keyboard mouse and printer? We bought a new laptop at Christmas and had to buy a compatable printer, as our one didn't work with the laptop. I have been decluttering too:) and have a bag of clothes for charity shop and books to go there too, but we are unsure of what to do with the other things. Thanks in advance MargaretDo a little kindness every day.;)0

If you have a Freegle/Freecycl group near you, that's the best place to rehome them. You'll probably have people jumping down your throat for them!Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing

Haven't been on since Friday, and lots has come and gone in this house.
IN:
2 large storage boxes covered with rushes from my sis-in-law. (Don't quite know what we're going to do with these yet: hubby went to visit and came home with them!)
1 anniversary card from my best friend: it was 33 years ago on Sunday that we met in Benidorm.
Edible goodies: 1 box of Black Magic chocolates, half a tin of luxury biscuits; bag of liquorice allsorts; jar of M&S shallots; 1/4 Christmas cake. Went to see mum & dad and they gave us this lot to bring home as they wouldn't eat them.
Black sack of dad's clothes: he's had a sort out and these are for the homeless shelter. We always end up bringing more home with us than we took!
Did better on the OUTs though:
A highchair, offered through Freegle.
A paper trimmer and 20 pairs of scissors also offered through Freegle.
4 pairs of scissors to my daughter, who only had 1 pair and very often couldn't find them!
A headboard for a double bed that had been in our loft for months. Given to us by daughter's in-laws when we redecorated, but it's the wrong colour for our bed and we don't have a spare.
CDs and DVDs have been sorted ready to go on Music Magpie. Just waiting for me to list them really.
All our old Christmas cards. I've recycled what I need from them and these are mainly just the backs and a few fronts.
A steam foot spa bath. Got it from Freecycle last year (or maybe the year before) and used it a couple of times, then it just got shoved in a cupboard. This is currently on Freecycle.
So, it's all gradually going. Hubby and I were discussing moving the other day and I said we need to set a time limit. Came up with 2012, so I've got till then to sort out my overstuffed craft room and turn it back into a bedroom - a job I am not looking forward to doing, as there is just no room to put anything in there at the moment!:eek:Keep Calm and Carry On Kondoing
