Phew the council collected everything! so i am happy, as i work for them so didnt want to have to moan!
We have acquired something today which i am not sure will be useful. The inlaws have had a mobility scooter in their garage for ages which used to belong to OH's grandad, who is no longer with us. Anyway, OH's nan has just said she doesnt want it and we can sell it and keep the proceeds - great I thought!
BUT OH has picked it up today and it has mould and rust on it and we cant locate the battery charger....oh dear. Looks like its not going to make as much money as we thought. Still at least it is still in OH's land rover and not in the house!November 2018 make £10/day - £21/£300

Funny thing, but I did actually start decluttering my house many years ago - must have been around 1998 and I bought a book to help me. I was sorting through some stuff in my bedroom and lo and behold found the book! Then stopped decluttering to have a quick read lol!
Anyway, I just wanted to share with you that I did actually find the book very helpful (house was decluttered nicely until 2001 when DS was born, then DD1 in 2005 and DD2 in 2006 - amazing how much stuff kids have!).
I have posted a link below for the newest version on Amazon in case anybody is interested (not encouraging you to gain more stuff though) - it is called Clear Your Clutter with Feng Shui by Karen Kingston and even if you're not interested in feng shui it is still good for a read and somebody may find it useful:

BTW, don't know if anybody is interested but have seen a programme advertised called "Gutted" on the Home channel - looks like they clear out everything from your home, but not sure what happens then - I can't get this channel so no good for me.
hthThrifty Gifty February make £20 challenge £21.05/£20.0 -
Janebo - I watched Gutted last week - it's really good. They remove all your carp and only let you have back what you can remember! You get all kinds of challenges and quizzes to helpl you win your stuff back, then they take what you didn't win back to auction - you then decide whether you want whatever's been raised or the carp back!
I went back to work today after 4 weeks off (2 weeks Xmas hols, 2 weeks sick) so nothing done in house, but did get rid of a couple of bits:
IN:
- Few groceries
- Pair of socks
- 2 cosmo magazines found in staffroom at work - will return as soon as I've read them
- another magazine I get weekly from work - I recently threw away about 6months worth of them that hadn't been read  - since declutter started have made a resolution that if one isn't read before next one arrives, it goes in bin
OUT:
- Broken Laptop collected to be recycled - should be getting a cheque for £20 soon
- 5 cds posted to music magpie
- cd audiobook sold on amazon postedGOD BLESS DURAN DURAN

Didn't get a chance to update at the weekend, so this is for the whole of last week:
In
Digital scales
Book
40 photographs
Out
Sorted through my general paperwork box, it was overflowing, but have now reduced it to three quarters full. Papers either recycled or used to light the fire with (don't own a shredder!)
Pending Out
Four bags of recycling (recycling bin due to be collected this week as can't fit anything else into it - although will have a go at squashing the contents down tomorrow!)
Two bags to go to charity shop (have been unable to get there for the past couple of weeks due to bad weather/car playing up)
I also managed to list the grand total of one thing on Ebay during the free listing day, so hopefully it will sell...
Next task on decluttering list
Was supposed to have decluttered the top two shelves of the pantry on Sunday, but can't even get in there due to all of the recycling and general tat on the floor, so will tackle it this weekend, after I've been able to take the recycling outside!)0 -
Ive been mostly painting the kitchen today, so
IN-
Blue Paint
Reduced price wallpaper for some other rooms
OUT-
More recycling!
2 ebay parcels
Tomorrow I'll go back to decluttering again, although I have some cooking and baking to fit in too...
This handy thread keeps me thinking about decluttering during the day, if I didnt post in here once a day, I'd have given up last week''A moment's thinking is an hour in words.'' -Thomas Hood0
