Sorry to hear about your Aunt Rosyred.
Another one here on the lose weight, take more exercise for the New Year:eek::eek:. Will get back on the hours walk a day once we go back to Spain mid-Jan, the eating patterns seem less fattening while we are there too:rolleyes:. Willl take the Wii with us, and will investigate the new dance game, Fit+ and try out one with a dance mat my DGN got before I decide, and try for half an hour a day on that in addition.
Will also be using up fridge+freezer for the next two weeks and then start again when we get back, but hoping to be out and about with the new caravan too:j:j:beer:

Afternoon All
I am sat trying to do a meal plan but keep getting distracted by the boards! I'm going to try and do the Flylady lists this week as I am off work all week and my house could certainly use it!
My cold feels a little bit better today so hopefully Im over the worst of it altho I still feel a bit lack-lustre. My car is of the road (again thanks to DS1.....) and I've no chance of getting it looked at until later in the week so I've done my shopping on line and I have no need of it until saturday now so pressures of a bit.
DD still has all her xmas toys in the living room so they will be getting moved a few things at a time over the next day or so as she won't notice them going and have a paddy. She really is getting paddying down to a fine art - she managed to burst the blood vessels around her eyes this morning just through screaming.....some would call it a talent.
DH has just picked a portable TV for our room that we are getting for our christmas pressie and we got money from his mum and nanny so thats gone towards it too so thats on its way. and I have to order a mattress for DS1's bed tomorrow when the shop re-opens and I was doing so well - with being ill I haven't spent any money since christmas eve!
Right back to this meal plan!
Have a good day

Hi everyone. A few minutes peace! I think a plague of locusts has landed at Ivy Mansions. My parents were here till yesterday night and my brother and family arr for lunch, so we were 11 for both meals yesterday.
We were 8 at brunch, (dh gone walking) and did eggy bread and waffles. My foster neph sure puts it away! THey have gone to Knowsley Safari park and my two (16 & 19) have gone as well. Basket of fruit and drinks supplied.
I'm in the process of making chocolate brownies, chocolate sauce and vanilla icecream, had to do two batches of icecream, but with the maker it was easy enough. Double batch of easy chocolate sauce and double batch of brownies, but shall hide some of those for another day. Chicken and potato wedges with hm coleslaw. Made some yesterday for tea and they tucked in. They said they would like it again. Got a whole free range chicken plus a couple of packs of pieces.
Doing pizza tomorrow so they can all have what they fancy.
Been a bit slack in other respects. Should be doing the laundry right now, but who cares? I deserve a sit down.
I have bounty ball mix done but not coated, also truffle mix in a tub waiting to shape and coat. Never mind!
I made a HM salsa recipe for them to go with tortilla chips last night. chopped tomatoes chopped a bit more, finely chopped onion, seasonings inc chilli sauce. THey loved it! I think I shall do a batch and freeze so that it's always available. Are those jars about a pound?
THose brownies smell great! mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
I need to start planning too I guess, you all seem very busy with it.
I plan like Hester does, starting with what is in the house first of all. Then just buying what I need, unless some reduced item or special offer attracts my attention. I traditionally only shop when absolutely necessary in December (I hate crowds) and in January (on use up).
My first job is always to set up a new folder for the year with sections for insurance/payslips etc etc.
I've taken some photos of my wreath on the front door. I'm wondering about finding a special offer and gettng a load printed to use for a Christmas card next year. WIll decide when I see them on screen.
Will try and post a link.
My feeling is that it isn't quite sharp enough. would also like the ribbon ends to show. WILl go and take some more!

bargainbird I am in South Yorks. By the time me, OH and DS paid in and OH and I had a coffee, I had cake;):p and DS had juice and a biscuit it was £20:cool:. I was wondering about DS having his Bday party there next year but looked and it is £14.99 per child minimum 10 children:eek:.....I worked out that as it is £5.95 entrance fee you are paying £9 ish per head for kids food and no way would it be worth that:mad:.....when I think of the spread us OSers could put on for £9 a head:rotfl:
Well have put all decs away and feels much better and calmer here already:o:T
Made choc buns and just about to put chocolate on them and have a coffee then will start the rocky road cookies.
DS looks awful:eek: all red around the eyes and pale with tiredness, wish he would rest:o
Purpleivy that wreath looks lovely, well done you:T, mine would look like a dogs dinner:rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Afternoon again!
Wow I'm MIA for days then I can't leave you all!
NPM - Mr P has been called out on an emergency, so we have postponed our meeting, he's suggested a drink before I start work tonight - hmmm, not sure my uniform will have the desired effect lol!
I have managed very little today, I've pootled about moving stuff and chucking rubbish, so it does look tidier, well a bit! I've also aired the whole house as it was so nice earlier, cats were loving being able to go out one window, walk along the sill and come back in the other again! Floors now look safe to walk on again, still trying to work out why there was pink icing on the sitting room carpet behind the bin?!
Just making some lunch for me, bit late, but then it was a slow start to the day! And then on with meal planning and some more washing, nice and easy as I can sit in front of Poirot and do that!
My resolution for the new year is to make the most of every opportunity, and when things don't go my way to try to keep smiling! A tidy house would also be a bonus, but I'm slowly building automatic routines so I'm getting there, the other things I need to do are clear the garage and put new tiles down in the kitchen. Ex has promised to lay the tiles, I just need to choose and buy them, so might have a browse in the sales!
NPM - hope Noah is a little calmer whilst he's helping you cook, and I hope he gets off to sleep nice and early so you get a rest hun xxGC Oct £387.69/£400, GC Nov £312.58/£400, GC Dec £111.87/£4000
