What about 45 year old beer-bellied unaccompanied male shoppers?
Do they land in category old, fat or male?
It's called freedom of choice.
There's just no pleasing some people. All matter is merely energy condensed to a slow vibration, we are all one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively, there is no such thing as death, life is only a dream, and we are the imagination of ourselves.0 -

I was once told by a parking attendant Wakefield that the disabled bay I had parked in was only for people with a wheelchair and he suggested I parked a bit further back in a parent and child space.
I had got out of the car using my crutches and my wife was going to get my wheelchair out of the boot but the second we got out of the car he came running over from his little hut shouting the odds at me. After a heated exchange of words he admitted he was wrong and just thought that because we were young people we were using someone elses disabled badge because I had hurt my leg.
I still have my blue badge and very rarely use it unless i'm having a bad day health wise and need my wheelchair to get about. And contrary to what a few people think we don't all use our blue badges to avoid paying for parking eitherIf At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00 -

Why not?? Free parking...no wonder there's a thriving black market for the badges.
Because I don't like to use my badge unless I really need it. Every time I see it i'm reminded how ill I was and how much my life changed. I know it sounds stupid but when i'm feeling well enough and feel like I used to it's like nothing has changed but as soon as i'm in a position that I need to use a disabled bay and my wheelchair I realise how much things have changed and I would rather not be reminded of it for the sake of a quid to park my car. (I don't know how to word how I feel about it properly but you get the jist)
I can see why there is a thriving black market though, we recently had a drive over to York for a day out and to park up for a full day in the car park we were in it would have cost £14 or blue badge holders were free (To be honest I don't know anyone who carries £14 worth of change with them for a parking meter when they go out.) We actually decided to get a hotel and go and have a god drink round the pubs of York so we parked up at the hotel which was free to hotel guests. If At First You Don't Succeed, Call It Version 1.00
