exactly,i drive a C5 which is pretty big
more so as its design makes it a pain to park but i use normal spaces with my 2 year old0 -
I went to Asda with my daddy on monday, and we used a parent and child space.
The car park was full, and he has a blue badge. I don't, but I do get DSA and DLA.
So yeah, it might technically have been wrong but we did have our reasons.
you could have dropped him off, then went and parked and met him instore0 -

why would a 9/12 year old need any extra space to get out?0 -
I can see both sides of the issue here. I have a 16 month old and use the spaces when they are free but when they are full use a 'normal' space. I find it difficult sometimes to get him out of the car seat sometimes as car seats sit the child further forward in the main seat you need to open the door wider to get them out.
I have been known to climb into the back seat from the other door to get him in and out because the person parked next to me has parked too close and I can't get the door open enough.
I'm sure my tesco has a sign saying that the P&C spaces are for parents with children under 5 or those requiring a booster seat.
I for one would be happy to have the P&C spaces further from the store if it stops people abusing of them.0 -

Just like all the people who sit in their cars in the disabled bays could. At least half the cars have drivers in them in the disabled bays at our local Tesco. They obviously use the space because it's their "right".0 -

This kills me. Do you know the circs of this posters fathers health? Whether he is able to manage unassisted into the store. I'm gathering that since he needed assistance with the shopping, he possibly isnt stable /in the best of health?why would a 9/12 year old need any extra space to get out?
How does it affect you? There are plenty of normal spaces, P&C and disabled in any of the large SMs that I use. Why grumble over it?Earn £10 a day JAN: £92.23 / £310 :j ...............NSD Jan 2/10
14 months to debt free with snowballing (start date Jan 2012) £0/12600........JAN weight loss target 5/60 pounds
I'll make it to the moon if I have to crawl0 -
