Just been on the Wii fit properly for the first time - my Wii age is 32 but I'm obese - just done 8 mins aerobic exercises and it's killed me!

Anyway I'm going to stick the bedding in the TD and have a quick S&S of the kitchen.

Congratulations polkadot and great to see you back here.

rose Glad your hubbie has some work, it is good for you too, try to have some 'me time' whilst he is away.

L-l, sorry to hear things are not going well, hugs. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
    poppy and till
juliejim maybe we could have a HH on the wii. More like ten minutes for me though!

poppy and til hugs to both of you

ooh sexy a new heating system. That will make such a difference for you.
We are trying to keep warm here but I am wearing two jumpers, a t shirt, cardi and a pashmina. I knew it would come in handy eventually.

    Ironing challenge

You know I have been told not to iron ever. Last night I ironed 3 jumpers that have been lying around waiting to be ironed for months. And I don't feel any worse today, but better about having my jumpers ironed.

We have anther 4-5 inches of snow today and seem to have lost our view in a total white out.

Must go and try to find my dressing table. It is still covered in Christmas detritus.

Toots I hope things improve for you very soon.

    All ironing is done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A year ago I couldn't fly - I managed it for a week or so then fell off again
I ironed about 3 times in 18mths

Since Jan I have flown regularly and complete the lists nearly each week :D

I bought an iron and an ironing board and tackled the mountain a while ago.

Now I can do the ironing in about 30mins :D

Now I have none left and it is all put away regularly :D

If I can do it, you can do it!

Morning all, haven't caught up yet, but I gather good news for rosepink and hugs for toots and ladyliberty

Been up all night for the last three nights with poorly children, Got lots of things done, but none around the house, AGA has had to be let out as hardly any oil left, so can't do any washing as can't dry it.

greenbee have hit on a cunning plan of parking the logbasket next to the dehumidifier, to dry the logs out, or at least it seems like a good idea on zero sleep!

I have been procrastinating but in a good way:rotfl:I have cleaned the main bathroom as it was a sty and the blind man was coming to measure up. He quoted £240 for 2 roller black out blinds and 1 vertical blind for windows measuring 180cm across does anyone have any idea if this is a good price? I did arrange another firm for a quote for this morning but they havent turned up:mad:
I miss read this i read and thought the man was blind. I actually thought ahh bless.

  • Nun was in the bath and someone knocked at the door. She cowered behind it and shouted out "Who is it?". "The blind man" came the reply. She though "Ah, that's OK, I won't have to bother getting dressed then" so she let him in.
A rather suprised man said "Nice T!ts love, now where do you want the blinds?". :rotfl:

How are you cooking without the AGA??? And I bet you're cold too...

Do you have any other heating (apart from the woodstove?). If you have a spare room, best way to dry washing is to put it in an unheated room with an open window for ventilation. Failing that, put it next to the dehumidifier with the log basket ;) I'm sure your idea will work - particularly if they're well-seasoned but just a bit damp from the weather.

Got up late again today :o. Have emptied the DW and done a very small amount of work (outline for a new paper - I'm doing great at starting things but not so well at completing them) while having breakfast.

Off to bung some more stuff in the DW and have a shower.

Heating was making a very strange noise this morning, so I'm leaving it off. I need to bleed all the radiators, just in case it's air in the system. And sign up for homecare with BG as my last one was cancelled when I was made redundant.

Also need to do some more thinking about which 'safe place' I might have put the safe key in  I've looked in all the obvious places, and I'm sure I've done all the bedroom and spare room drawers etc. since I got back... it looks as if I'll have a busy decluttering weekend ahead of me for New Year! I'm not doing the ironing challenge, but will TRY to get the last bits of laundry etc done as it will make the tidying easier. And I should then be able to pack the last of the summer clothes away :o
