Dusty/poohbear thanks, when there is a lack of routine he makes his own to his own agenda hence the repetative behaviour.....he's doing his being resistant routine now & has been evil all day....pleased DP is out as he'd have just lost the plot with him which gets us nowhere. Not got much done so far as can't leave him alone with his brother as he keeps attacking him/lashing out. I need to keep with it or he'll be a nightmare on back to school days. Oh well at least my days lists were done, will get the laundry I have dumped on my bed as the day has gone on. I best go get them some food sorted. One day I might be more organised...........

Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Maybe we should have a flylady fitness challenge again this year... Pigpen might even bung in the odd HHE for us
. I must have lost about 3 stone last year... unfortuately I just lost the same half stone about 6 times :o so this year I need to keep it off. My ankle is still a bit feeble, but I had a decent walk on Sunday and it survived, so I should be able to manage.
First thing to do is get all the problem food out of the house and NOT by eating it... feed it to other people. And then grab a pedometer in the sales (saw them in the supermarket today)... in fact, grab two in case one breaks/gets left behind. Measure every day for a week without changing from your normal routine, and then set yourself targets to increase your step count and add in other exercise.
Drink water or tea/herbal tea. Eat lots of fruit and veg and DO NOT BUY diet books & supplements. Hex is our resident weight loss guru, so maybe she should be in charge
So need that challenge as once I start exercising I enjoy it but I have lost my motivation to do it. I sleep better too and drink more water.
I never buy diet anything as I disklike the idea of what has been done to it. My weight has stayed the same for the last few years. For me it helps to make all my own food and not rely on ready meals and sauces. Plus when I do a bit of baking I feel a bit shocked about how much sugar is used and I then balance this by thinking what is in ready made ones which I'm sure has more in plus other nastys
Saw a pedometer on sale in Mr S that I'll go back for and see how many steps I do a day (about 10!)

Been to Asda, spent £36 (and £10 cash back as I only had coppers!) BUT that includes 2 ink cartridges
Then went to Aldi and spent another £8 mainly on a reduced dehumidifier & a refill bag for it. Going to put it (as its a bigger one) in the hall and the one thats in the hall can go under the stairs, then the two that are under the stairs can go in DD's room and mine. Oh and I need to refil the one in the bathroom as well *adds that to the list*
I'll be up for a flylady weightloss/exercise challenge. :j
Now I'm in a CBA mood. Think I'll sit and do my lists while watching Godsend

Greenbee - you can arrive any time after 7pm but we're doing a chinese auction so you need to bring a wrapped present (it can be anything - cheesy or nice!). DH is doing a steak pie (Scottish tradition I believe).
I'll be joining the healthy challenge if we have one. My weight has been constant since I had my children but I need to declutter about a stone and a half and keep it constant there!
I've just decluttered some water in the bath and a few pages of my book:rotfl:. Anyone who loves cats I can recommend Dewey as an easy, 'don't need to think' book.
Hugs to all xx0 -
I have been to the sales and got three new bath towels and two hand towels - baths ones were £12 but I paid £4.80;) hand towels also reduced and I have put them away until I get my new bathroom:T
and xmas wrap packs in BHS 4 rolls, bows and curling tape down to £2 from £6 so I snaffled one of those. DD wanted new briefs so picked up 3 pairs reduced to £1.50 from £2.50 and they went through on 3 for 2 so a quid each - :money:. Her birthday's in Jan so we've 'gone up a year';).
Cards have been bought in Oxfam (half price but surely they still benefit and five gifts bought in Boots at half price - and I let DD stick her advantage card in the slot!

Evening my lovelies – sorry I’ve been MIA! Hope you all had a fantastic xmas (and Rose that you had a peaceful and enjoyable rest period with DH). I’m trying to play catch up on the thread (only at page 18 at the mo) so I gather plenty of hugs and coping vibes plus stay sane against the KH’s are due to many.
Valli – can only give you a hug my lovely, luckily me and XH are on very good terms mostly, he says the odd thing now and then but I know if I needed him he would still be there for me. Let DS and DD cool off and they will be fine, you are their main carer and they know how much you do for them
Jinky – I’d have her for the week myself and stuff missing 2 days or whatever at school. If he wants her back that badly he can come and pick her up! Give it time and it will settle, when XH and me split DS stayed with him as it was a case of ‘boys together’ as he didn’t want XH on his own, DD1 and DD2 stayed with me, though it’s changed regularly with DD1 and DD2 staying at their dads for a while (in turn) and then wanting to come home
LL – I knew something was going on cos you never mention him anymore – hugs my lovely
Jo – I got your card but you wasn’t on my list!!! So sorry I didn’t send you one, hope you and Ds had a fab xmas
Sorry everyone else, I’m still catching up! So love and hugs abound to those that want them
TOOTS – can I have a star for Monday please? Took 3 ½ hours to do kitchen diner but EVERYTHING is spotless;
tiles
cupboards
floor
window
patio door
UPVC of the above
big machines that could be moved have been moved and cleaned
only have about 12 items in the ironing pile and will do them tomorrow
Wish I was at work as it’s easier!!!! LOLTo love and be loved is the greatest happiness of existance - Sydney Smith0 -
