    Hi All

Just a quick question if you can answer, I treat new year the same as christmas (minus the pressies) so I use the same glasses, cutlery etc, do you all do the same, put it away and then take it back out a few days later, my glasses are easily accessible but cutlery is put back in box and put at the back of a cupboard which is reserved for "special occasions" only :rotfl:never to be touched at any other time kinda cupboard. I keep crackers and everything for the new year

No leave it out somewhere it will not get broken and put away on New Years' Day or the next day - You'll still get your star ;)

I have a drawer for my 'special' cutlery that comes out three or four times a year. That way, it's quite easy just to lob it back in there once it's washed up and retrieve it as and when needed.

My house guest arrives at about 4pm so plenty of time to do both the normal Tuesday tasks and also scrub the bathroom and get the spare room ready...........she says hopefully!! Its not so bad - she lived with us for a year, so has seen the house in its "natural state" plenty of times before (and indeed has contributed to such "naturalness") but I want to wow her with something resembling a nice tidy place to stay for her few days visit.
