I have just read this story

I am hopping mad. Particularly with the following statement

....Kerry Foods, said the pastries needed to arrive at stores with at least eight days before sell-by dates expired...

!!!!!! - they could have been given to a homeless hostel or charity, or just distributed somewhere. EIGHT DAYS before the expiry date? It's not even like they were about to go out of date!!!! That's a declutter too far in my view.

How about starting an email campaign to get them to change their policy on food waste?

And I've just finished this book if you'd like it next...

Hugs poppy I don't know what to say except we are here for you.

crafty I can't remember where you are with your course. I soldiered on with mine when I should have taken a year out. I was worried that if I stopped I wouldn't get back into it. I passed but nearly lost DH as a result of it.

Seriously though, the things I really can't do I cross out and do what I can manage. I was known to make myself worse by trying to do too much/ the wrong things. I also don't ever iron! Baby steps is what you should start with.

My mum always used to make sure the house was spotless by New Years Eve as she believed that if it was clean and tidy on New Years day then it would be every day of the year. She would have loved this thread.

Psykicpup Hugs, you need to curl up on the sofa too but with a lovely warm hat or tea cosy:)

Well I've just (accidentally) found a button I've never noticed before on my keyboard. Makes the monitor go to sleep. That made me panic for a minute.......

Roast beef dinner was lovely, really nice beef. After clearing up we watched Inspector Alleyn Mysteries and then a Joan Hickson Mrs Marple. By then the beef was cold so it's been sliced up, some in the freezer, some in the fridge for the next couple of days and some for sandwiches tonight.

I cleaned the oven while it was warm after dinner, it wasn't that bad but it's nice now.

    Sorry for your breakup Poppy.

Nicki - had to google the remoska. Is it as good as an oven?

For just about everything it is. There's a thread on here ( http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=1464375 ) all about them. I bought one as having a normal sized electric oven seemed pointless & expensive since quite often I only wanted to cook 2 kievs! The only thing I don't use it for is baking & normal pizzas ;)

    Some more jobs done. :D

Monday ~ Kitchen and Dining Area
    Level One
    Sweep and SCRUB the floor
    Level Three
    Extras
Scrub the sink and polish the taps

    Personal list :
    Laundry
    Budget
To-do lists by room - getting there slowly.

Nearly done! Off to do lists now and maybe some ironing. But I really fancy just laying on the floor with my homemaking books and making lists :rotfl::rotfl:
