Well so far it's been a crap start to the year. I normally be in bed long before 12 but my sister and BIL called up last night and didn't leave until 3.30 this morning. Hubby and BIL both had quite a few drinks so hubby is still in bed and say's he has a sort tooth as well. So needs his sleep. Of course when i wanted to go to bed last night it was 'wait till i finish my drink' but what he seems to forget is that i get up with the kids in the morning not him.
Throw in he forgot to bring in coal so i'll need to do that to get the fire lit. Then our lovely dog took the runs in the hall so it's covered in poo. Hubby won't clean it as he has a hangover and i'm not to sure how the heck to lift it without me puking.
AwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwSometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

All those who are having relationship issues this is a peak time for divorce and separation, as people have been cooped up together/their expectations for the holiday have not been met. Please please everyone, sleep on it, as when "normal life" resumes it is possible that things will look different. Hugs to all in this situation (except pigpen natch)
And greenbee with exes I think your first instinct was probably the correct one!
* have been married 3 times so take my advice with a pinch of salt!!!*Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Morning all
Really tired today...just about saw the new year in, then went to bed...drank some wine (had missed out earlier as slept in the evening)...then DS woke up. So...I didn't get to sleep until something past 1am, then he woke again for a feed sometime in the night (probably twice - he does tend to help himself!), then he woke me up at 7am.
Still, have done a little bit of the list - much of it corresponds to the things that I had in mind to do today, particularly the menu planning and budgetting. I need to take loads of photos for eBay - have been gradually selling off my collection of knitting magazines, and OH has given me a pile of computer magazines to sell too. Will be busy in January methinks!
Right, I'd better get in the bath before it goes cold (DD has already had hers - we share the water here!).
Hope everyone has a good day.
Take care
D

Happy New Year!!!
I feel much the same about this group as others - but they've said it so much better than me! Some of my best friends this year have been the ones I've not met yet...
Didn't stay up, slept through the bells and fireworks, woke up late - why am I so tired this week??? And there's snow here. Hate the stuff. Fortunately, not too much and it's already thawing.
Off to make choux pastry for profiteroles, the teens favourite New Year's Day dessert, to follow roast beef.
And then the rest of the day I shall be planning...:rolleyes:It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Good morning and Happy New Year to all of you lovely people:A You are a source of inspiration, laughter, support and general wonderfullness (is that a word:o) and i'm very grateful i stumbled across this thread.
Hugs to all those struggling with life at the moment. Lady Liberty i think you are amazing and i hugely admire you.
Going to go for a bath now as i feel crap. Cold has moved into my chest and i lost my voice yesterday morning and it has still not reappeared! Didnt stop me ceilidh dancing in Princes Street Gardens last night though:D Had a great evening with my big brother and friends. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Good morning
Hugs mumof5 and mumof2 and L-l
I have decluttered all the beer cans, sweet papers away and tried to persuade the two dogs and cat that they must go outside.
When I didn't think it could snow any more, last night it did. Another 4 inches! It is truly amazing. :j:j
