Just popping in to say hello :D before I tackle the last 20 or so items left in the ironing challenge. I am hoping to get it all done before we head off out to our friends tonight at 7ish. Well that is if D gets home from work at a reasonable time.., traffic willing :D

yeah - we snuck in on that one :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:rotfl: I was surprised too.

I'm going to Budapest for mine!

    Egri Bikaver!

Toots was obviously having a bad day :p I think she should make you go out and finish someone else's ironing too... :D (mine for preference ;))

Budapest sounds lovely... I'm having friends round for supper, and then going for a walk on the sunday BUT several people have said they'll get back to me as they're not sure what they're doing :confused: which I wouldn't mind if they didn't take so long about it... I asked them ages ago, and I now think its very rude, as I can't really make arrangements/invite extras etc until I know. Although I'm tempted to uninvite them (although I did this to my brother last year... this year my mum has given him all my presents from her to make sure he turns up!)

Maybe I should just invite you lot instead

Oooh a quickie to the peg brigade.. I meant to tell you the other week but it completely went out of my mind. While I was looking for some new fairy lights guess what I found - peg lights :D Yep they were lights that look exactly like pegs.. I do wish I had bought them now I could have put them around my whirly gig..lol

OMG JayJay, a boat, what were they thinking!! It was raining when we did it. We've took the caravan over Hartside too http://www.visitcumbria.com/pen/hartside.htm entertaining ..... wasn't intentional, DP forgot what an iffy road it was.

Kitchen improved, not 100% but better, hmmmm I am down to 2 bin bags, not good, unsure which shops if any are open tomorrow. WM & TD refilled. Animals all dealt with. DP will go to work soon so I can get some more stuff done.

Kaz like every year I will be here, kids will be too
LL, Valli has a good point there ((hugs))

Oh I didn't join in but all my ironing is done!!
One day I might be more organised...........

Sorry - you either accept the invitation or decline. OK at this time of year 'weather permitting' would be allowed

I would be inclined to ask them if they were waiting to see if they got a better offer

I will be on my own for the bells as well.

    Afternoon all

Today's list done (I did all the bedrooms yesterday and did the bathroom/toilet this morning).

One load of washing spread round.

I'm trying to work out when I'll need to do food shopping again. Normally I do it fortnightly which would be next week but I'm sure I won't need it that soon. I think I'll do an online shop for the week after and then bring it forward if I suddenly start to run out of stuff. I'd like to get through everything in the freezer and then restock so I know it's not ancient stuff in there!

    Off to catch up now.

I'll be on my own tonight too, DH is still dogsitting. He can't wait for Saturday and neither can DD1 who is missing her dog and her home!

That's what I was thinking... I know its mostly because they're working out whether they can dump children on inlaws and/or come with children and/or leave husbands behind with children but I think I need to stop being so flexible, as it seems to end up with people treating invitations very casually.

Of course, I'm now inviting everyone I can find contact details for... so I think my brother and SiL will find themselves having to drive :D as I won't have room for them to stay...:p

Must go and keep on with the unpacking... I need to find a couple of addresses... and check on the laundry...

Ah thank you Valli for the explanation.

    Massive massive hugs LL xx

Flying related: I have put the curtain back up in the Hall. Decluttered the leftover soup into portion containers and put in the freezer - dont worry I let them cool first.....It sounds as though I did it in one go.

Ive packed food bags, overnight bags, wine.... decluttered the TD again and then re-fed it. Think thats me about done and heading off to my uncles, which I fear will not be the most joyous of times, but would rather be there for him nonetheless!

In case I dont get back on, have a wonderful new year and a fantastic 2010 xx

    THURSDAY ALL DONE!

Not as thoroughly as I would have liked but struggling today - spirit willing, body fit for nothing. Helped by fact I don't have kids so list was a short one for me.

Looking forward to looking back ar my first week of flying to see how much more I have done than I would ordinarily. It's really helping me focus and am seeing improvements already.

Am bowing out of ironing challenge as WM has been out of action for last 2 weeks and you can imagine the piles I'm trying to get through.

Happy New Year everyone - hoppe 2010 brings you all you wish for and more.
